I am a DJ that is willing to pass on my skills and knowledge of music and DJing.

If anyone knows anyone wanting to learn the skill of DJ, I will be able to give them lessons. These lessons will be very cheap and suitable for all kinds of people and ages.

This is because I have noticed that there is a lot of people out there that are interested in htis hobby and have purchased decks and vinyl but are unable to use them effectively. This is where I can help.

For info ring 07818223893 or PM me.

I and my girlfriend's sister would potentially be interested. Do you have any more information you could post on here? I mean things like content; price; location; hours as well as a bit of information about yourself?

My record deck came with an instruction book. It was a Panasonic I purchased back in 1982. The last records I played on it were Jilted John and Captain Beaky. Can I scratch and get phat toons from this deck?

(I only ask as my intruction booklet seems to give me no guidance).

Well, I'm no expert on this but I don't think there's any reason why you couldn't do it on that deck. The thing is that it probably hasn't been designed for it so might not have the torque or the toughness to cope with it for long. I think whether or not your toons are phat depends on what they are and how good your amp, speakers, mixer and cartridges are.

I would personally not go for DJ 'tuition'; its a skill that in my opinion is best learned by yourself. I started DJing in 2001 in a few small clubs and promoting my own night in Bristol. When i came to Sheffield Uni i started DJing at Gatecrasher, i did this all without any 'tuition.' DJing is a talent that must be worked upon, a decent DJ is one who can read a crowd and knows how they will react to what song, that is even more important than being able to mix effectively. I would suggest if you have bought decks to play about with them, get a feel for the kit, and be prepared to work at it for a good few years if you want to get anywhere. pinder/colonel if you want some more advice pm me.
