I don't think you'll have any bother with language as all Danes speak perfect English. I would love to hear how you get on, If it were me I'd take a lonely planet guide, which may halp a little. The only trouble I find with them (lonely P) is that you only read the interesting details after you are at the end or have finished your first visit.

Not really, but it would be a medical first!

"wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen........"
(yes, well that's enough of the song for now)
Beautiful city. Quite small. Easy to get around.
Top tips Yoda:-
Go see the changing of the guard outside the Amalienborg palace.
The statue of the Little Mermaid is a must - but be prepared to be a tad disappointed, as it's fairly small and set against a backdrop of industrial cranes. You can also visit the Kastellet (fortress) which is nearby.
Nyhavn, the old port, is very picturesque and a must see.
The Town Hall square - mime and other performance artists.
Tycho Brahe Planetarium - named after the famous Danish astrologer (yes, I'd never heard of him either until I visited Copenhagen!).
The round tower - a curiosity, but worth visiting - nice views of the city from the top.
But every visitor to Copenhagen has to visit the Tivoli Gardens.....at night (because that is when you will see the shows and firework displays).
Oh, and strange as it may seem - you will have to get used to the public loos - public being the operative word (you will see!).
Remember......Denmark (and especially Copenhagen) is expensive. Drinks at some night-clubs continue to increase in price the later the hour becomes!
Have an enjoyable trip!

PS On my first trip to Denmark, I stayed in West Jutland. Fantastic isolated beaches. But opposite end of the country from Copenhagen.
