I'm a carer for my son and i was recently informed that carers are entitled to a bonus from the government. (i don't know what it's actually called). I'm lead to believe that it is around £60 - it's the same bonus that was given to the OAPS. (And just so you know, i'm not confusing it with the xmas bonus).

I rang the Carers helpline and they informed me that if i am entitled to it it will be paid in March.

So...unfortunately my information is limited and details are quite vague but it's worth knowing about so you can check to see if you are entitled. (If you are it will be paid to you automatically).

If anyone does have any information regarding this it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

the £60 is paid anywhere from january to march there is another thread on here with a link to the web page with more info on it
