I'm looking at Halkidiki as a possible holiday during the summer. Has anyone been and if so what's it like?

I don't like brash noisy resorts.

i have been and it is awesome. very nice picture postcard surroundings and not too busy. its very greek as i think its where greeks tend to go for their hols, so you dont feel too touristy.

lots to do and see and would recommend it
