I want to know if there are any more sites like ravelry, I already use youtube to learn how to do new things.
But would perfer a site, Like one for sewing that you can get free patterns from. Or a Jewellery one that show you step by step on how to make things.
Can anyone reconmend any
Craftster (http://www.craftster.org/).
Busymitts (http://busymitts.com/).
Let'sCraftIt (http://letscraftit.com/).
NB. These are sites I've seen mentioned elsewhere. I don't use any of them, so I can't vouch for their quality.
There was a discussion (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/for-the-love-of-ravelry/294379/1-25) on this very subject on Ravelry a few months ago. And here (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/needlework-on-the-net/338713/1-25).
Non-Rav members will need to register to view the link contents.
OMGI have only looked a the first site, and i am in love already. i might try and make my own knitting needles.

They're fab! Love the ones with the embedded yarn.
Craftster pre-dates Ravelry by quite some time; it's been around for about five years or so, I think, unlike the other two which popped up post-Ravelry. BusyMitts especially is apparently very 'Ravelry-inspired'.
