Billy Casper 08-02-2009, 15:46 Oh dear....Suppose that's the best we could have expected!
My daughter went with her hubby - as a Wednesday fan in the Kop. I have to say she was disgusted at the behaviour and language of the SUFC supporters and has vowed never to attend again.
Why anyone feels the need to advocate violence or killing to players on the pitch is beyond me.
doubletop 08-02-2009, 15:56 I saw it at Bumhole lane, rather quiet you blunts were????????
blunts do more talking with your fingers on this forum, instead off getting behind your team!!!!

It sounds like they may be a little bit too sensitive to sit on any kop, to be honest.

I have taken my daughter many a time and she loves it. Yes there are people swearing but that's the same at any football game isn't it?
It was the steel city derby. What were they expecting?

I'm sorry but this is a ridiculous comment to make. As much as I despise the idiots from Lawsuit Lane you can't honestly expect to go into the WRONG end of the ground, sit at the cheapest part of the stadium (I take it that's true?) and be disgusted at the use of foul language?? Its a football match, not a prawn sandwich appreciation ceremony.

very good point , swearing has always been a part of football and always will be

My daughters 23 years , not 23 months.Never heard her complain @ Hillsborough and she's been going there on and off since she was 6.

So its ok for "grown" men to shout and chant and hurl vile and racist abuse at the opposing players. IN particular Jermaine Johnson.
The tickets could have been the cheapest - she went with 4 United supporters, so i wouldn't be surprised at all.

yeh we dont sing any songs with swear words in them do we ?

It's a pity people can't grow up in public. It's not big and it's not clever.

Aint condoning it mate, mine are 14 and 17 but would never get them involved in a derby,i know the crap that goes on before during and after the game and would never subject em to it

but have you heard us sing "die die piggy, piggy die ?

I never said people don't sing, or shout "You fat xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" - if you lot think it's okay then thats fine.
I even refer to her hubby as a pig fan - similalry he makes comments about swinesborough. No big deal. But shouting for someone to be killed is a little silly.

that's why clubs have family enclosures
just trying to say to willman if his daughter has never complained about hillsborough i wonder why because it happens there as well
and i think it will at every ground in the world

If you ever, ever think that you can go to a football match and no hear abuse coming from the stands your either entirely deluded or wishing for the death of football.
They will have been getting at JJ as they know they can't handle him, or as it turns out any of the history making 11!
I have to agree with Willman on this. I take my 3 sons the Hillsborough they are 12, 9 & 6. We usually go to the family enclosure and the language is quite often appalling from the sections aside it and sometimes within.
We have to remember that these kids are the next generation of supporters and should be encouraged to attend at every opportunity. The stewards have a role to play here and should remind supporters about their bahaviour. However by far the biggest detterent would be if ordinary supporters let these morons know that their behaviour is unacceptable.
Yes there is often trouble before and after the derby's. Surely we should say this isn't acceptable we need to be aiming for a situation where people young and old can go and watch the match without fear. IMO that will only happen when ordinary supporters start regulating the behaviour of the moronic few rather than letting them rule the roost.

How are ordinary supporters going to regulate thugs?

and when you first started to attend did it happen then ?
if yes do you do it now ? it will always happen im sure if you point out the right and wrongs to your kids they will be fine
most of the chants have swear words or abuse right or wrong its part of the game im afraid
hands up if you have never swore at a match
anyway willman please keep on topic or robbie will have ya ;)
How are ordinary supporters going to regulate thugs?
Beacuse ordinary supporters far out number the thugs!
Beacuse ordinary supporters far out number the thugs!
But what do you want the ordinary supporters to do?
Turn in to a mob and demand the thugs stop swearing with menaces? It's not like the thugs will stop if you ask them politely.

Let the thugs know that their behaviour isn't acceptable, report them to stewards, report them to the police.

Never said i had an answer fella. They certainly don't ruin it for the many thousands that turn up week in week out though.

I think its up to us to try and find an answer:D Maybe I'm not a typical supporter - I certainly wouldn't hurl abuse at the opposition ( apart maybe for Leeds ;) ) . I don't understand some of the extreme views that fans of our respective teams have for each other. Certainly if the blades are in a competition that the owls aren't I'll support the blades as representing Sheffield.
I just long for the utopia when parents can go to the watch a game with children without the fear that they will have to endure foul and abusive language or feel threatened by the propsect of violence before or after the game. Is that too much to ask?

I take it yesterdays result has been the reason for your sense of humour bypass ;)
No its nothing new - does that make it right?
Yes I have swore at a match but like many civilised people I moderate my bahaviour dependant on the company I am in. I certainly don't eff and jeff in front of my own or anyone elses children. Maybe you are the sort that does and sees nothing wrong with this bahaviour :shakes:
So would you like to describe what you think is acceptable behaviour at football matches.
Using foul language in front of children - OK
Shouting abuse at officials - OK
Shouting abuse at opposing fans - OK
Shouting abuse at opposing players - OK
Making threats to opposing fans - OK?
Making threats to opposing players - OK?
Causing bodily harm to opposing fans - ??
hurstyowl 08-02-2009, 18:46 get the ordinary fans to sort em out, id say 90 % of ordinary fans swear at some point in a game, i.e. when they get annoyed with the ref and call him a f*****g joke.

i doubt they would actually carry the threats out, probably just spur of the moment, you tell ordinary people to tell them to stop, have you asked them to stop?

first off, mack is an owl so im sure his sense of humour is fine:thumbsup: i dont think anyone on this forum would condone attacking anyone but swearing etc will always happen. when i take my eldest next season i will point out swearing is wrong, i definately wouldnt tell someone to stop, not worth the risk really, might be a complete nutter. i have heard many time the chant 'die die piggy piggy die' at hillsborough so it isnt just bramall lane that sort of thing is said, although i would never sing it or say its right

Panthera 08-02-2009, 20:27 there are idiots in both sets of fans, there always will be and most of the hard core idiots follow the teams home and away, most of the chanting is just a good old jab into each others ribs. Its the hard core fans who live, breathe, eat and s * * t football that chant the really venomous things, both clubs have tried thier best to stop this sort of fan attending matches, but sadly both have failed and im afraid it is a part of being at a footie match for the time being and theres nothing we can do about it.
StocksyOwl 08-02-2009, 20:29 I watched via the beam back.I'd have loved to have been at the lane but i wouldn't want to sit in the home end.I did it before and it's a nightmare keeping quiet.I'd sooner shout and celebrate with my own.The beam back was tremendous. The coverage was a good as Sky do with replays and plenty of cameras.
I even stood up and clapped JJ even though he was 3.5 miles away at the time.
Paul2412 08-02-2009, 20:42 So because I swear at a football match I'm a thug? For generations, attending a football match on a Saturday has been a way to vent frustration of the working week. Mates meet up, have a drink or two and hurl abuse at opposing teams and officials. Its a stress relief for millions of people all over the world and always has been. Would you rather people be swearing and shouting while out doing their shopping?
At the end of the day, if swearing offends you that much then don't go and don't turn on the TV after 9pm.

To be fair, during the minutes silence a few years back the united supporters were outstanding in my opinion. Full credit to all of them that day
bladebloke 08-02-2009, 21:28 that chant is something i never join in with and its something that shouldnt be said, by either set of fans as im sure its both wednesday and utd fans that chant that
bull mate i've never heard blades sing that crap.
Rocklegend 08-02-2009, 21:29 I sit on John St (family stand) near the halfway line and I can honestly say that I never hear words worse than tosser or pillock-normally directed at the ref -from anyone near me.It is possible not to use language in front of women and children and that's why I frequently take my 10,8 and 6 year olds to the games-including two of them yesterday.
NERVY-OWL 08-02-2009, 21:35 can you hear what all utd fans sing in all parts of the ground though bb? it might only be a small minority so not noticable. as i say i never join in with that chant and anyone that does, well it doesnt say much about them

listen davey lad. stop trying to switch every subject to suit you.. united dont sing that crap. and i've never heard blades sing i'd rather be a paki than an owl. but thats another one you lot churn out to blades. one thing i did notice yesterday after all the mouthing and insults wendy were throwing at blades they were very quiet outside on bramall lane and zipping up their coats to hide colours.

tango left the ground in wearing a gazeebo and a curly wig .
CorkerSWFC 08-02-2009, 21:49 I can quite safely say that both grounds in Sheffield are full of people swearing and watever at the end of the day every1 should know where and where not to sit, i choose to sit on the north just for the atmosphere and hear and quite often take part in abuse to the away fans, its common place in Hillsborough also, i have had many chats with several fans and it will never change, i find it almost unreal at times how people don't say a dickie bird i have say.

all i'm saying is you cant hear every utd fan in a game, you might be right but who knows. so you would rahter owls fans chant or whatever outside the ground with there shirts showing? seems quite sensible to keep quiet and cover up to me.

it was'nt a minority of pigs singing it. it was the whole end.
NERVY-OWL 08-02-2009, 22:22 well you dont know it was all, just a majority of them. they shouldnt sing it but if thats what they enjoy then thats their problem. i would never condone singing that but i suppose i'd rather that than going out after the match throwing bricks and beating up rival fans. good and bad points of football i suppose

Congratulations on your entry for the award of pillock of the year - it's hard to see how this entry can be beaten.
You got beat. By the better team.
Obviously that's gonna hurt you to the core - must be churning you up right now. :hihi::hihi:
So what do you do about it? You turn to your old argument about the crowds.
'1,500 unsold tkts '
And you think that is criticism of the Owls?
You can't even sell out your own poxy little shed and you try to make out that we should be ashamed of it?
What happened to all these 'oooohhhhhh they should give us three sides of Hillsborough when we play there' when you can't even fill three sides of your own ground?
What happened to all these 'ooooohhhhh they shouldn't give the owls any tickets - we can fill the ground ourselves' when you quite clearly can't, even for your cup final.
YOU FAILED TO FILL A POKEY LITTLE 30,000 SEATER HOVEL. SHAME ONA LL YOU BLADES.
And by coming on here and blaming us, you're insulting yourself and your own shameful glory hunting suckers who couldn't even be bothered to come and watch you get beat. And you don't even realise it.
Clueless.
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 08:32 one thing i did notice yesterday after all the mouthing and insults wendy were throwing at blades they were very quiet outside on bramall lane and zipping up their coats to hide colours.
So what were you hoping for?
Does your thread about you taking over Legends last year (before you backed down and denied being there) give the game away?
Does your boast on another thread (that got pulled) about getting convicted for 'hooligan' type offences at away games years ago play a part too?
Come on, I dare you to have a big enough mouth to admit you went looking for trouble, or were hoping to see some.
You're a cretin and a thug.
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 08:36 think the most disgusting thing i heard yesterday was the die die piggy die chant from the wendys
It's a pointless and meaningless chant.
We used to sing songs about 'swinging a red, from Hyde Park flats, until he's dead' but we wouldn't do it.
We used to sing songs about hitting scousers/geordie/cockneys with bricks. But we would never do it.
The same fans that sing these songs sit and drink with blades after the game.
It's just a football chant.
So don't start getting on your high horse, because you of all people don't have one.
bladebloke 09-02-2009, 08:46 Come on, I dare you to have a big enough mouth to admit you went looking for trouble, or were hoping to see some.

yes mate your right me and my daughter went looking for trouble.
"i dare you" !!! lol you sound like a big stroppy school kid. get a grip.
i understand it hurts mate first double for 95 years and you could'nt be arsed.
you win we lose. and i've got you losing it on a forum. differant gravy pal.
now please leave my thread i was talking to corker and thingy 2 real wendy fans.

go and tell the parents of the two proper wendie fans who died at coventry. or the blades wife and kids who was murdered at wembley "its just a chant"
congratulations you've just won your board moron title back. mr benn hand it over. :loopy:
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 08:53 lol from one part timer to another class.
really hurts you mate does'nt it. your boys did you proud and you could'nt be bothered. like i say corker and thingy deserve it you dont.:loopy:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Let me tell you, IT HURTS ME ZERO.
I was happy at the beamback.
I'm a season ticket holder, have been for over 20 years. Even travelled to Europe to see my team play competitively (which you haven't - does that make me a better supporter than you?).
I deserve to revel in the glory, and I'm gonna.
Now can't you think of anything more original to try to use to divert away from the fact that you're team is second best?
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 08:54 yes mate your right me and my daughter went looking for trouble.

Yeah yeah, how about you send a picture proving you were there with your daughter?
You're a convicted thug and a cretin.
bladebloke 09-02-2009, 08:58 Congratulations on your entry for the award of pillock of the year - it's hard to see how this entry can be beaten.
see its just a chant post
You got beat. By the better team.
can you show me where i've said differant
Obviously that's gonna hurt you to the core - must be churning you up right now. :hihi::hihi:
you seem to be the one in a temper
So what do you do about it? You turn to your old argument about the crowds.
'1,500 unsold tkts '
And you think that is criticism of the Owls?
yep why did'nt you go down and get one. i did at your sty in 93 when you only gave us 3,000
You can't even sell out your own poxy little shed and you try to make out that we should be ashamed of it?
28,000 blades there. 23,000 pigs at your place 7,500 of us
What happened to all these 'oooohhhhhh they should give us three sides of Hillsborough when we play there' when you can't even fill three sides of your own ground?
28,000 would fill 2 sides is what i said. but dont let the truth get in your way
What happened to all these 'ooooohhhhh they shouldn't give the owls any tickets - we can fill the ground ourselves' when you quite clearly can't, even for your cup final.
could'nt even sell out a beam back
YOU FAILED TO FILL A POKEY LITTLE 30,000 SEATER HOVEL. SHAME ONA LL YOU BLADES.
see answer above. 28,000 blades, 23,000 pigs at yours
And by coming on here and blaming us, you're insulting yourself and your own shameful glory hunting suckers who couldn't even be bothered to come and watch you get beat. And you don't even realise it.
who's blaming anyone. please show me. i'm congratulating corker and thingy on there win. think i've said a dozen times they deserved it.
Clueless.
dont be hard on yer sen mate. put it down to stress..
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 08:58 go and tell the parents of the two proper wendie fans who died at coventry. or the blades wife and kids who was murdered at wembley "its just a chant"
congratulations you've just won your board moron title back. mr benn hand it over. :loopy:
What have they got to do with this chant?
You're dragging them into this for absolutely no reason - shame on you. How about you consider their feelings for a moment instead of finding ways to justify your petty, childish wimperings.
It ever there was an award for the most feeble attempt to clutch at straws to try to pour scorn on your bitterest (and better) rivals then this would win.
Go and look up the word dignity in the dictionary. And whilst your at it look up the word gracious. And see if you can find underdog too. :hihi:
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 09:00 dont be hard on yer sen mate. put it down to stress..
Try to cover it over and dance round it any way you want - YOU COULDN'T SELL OUT YOUR OWN SMALL STADIUM FOR YOUR BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON.
bladebloke 09-02-2009, 09:01 Yeah yeah, how about you send a picture proving you were there with your daughter?
You're a convicted thug and a cretin.
i've never been convicted of being a thug and if being a cretin was an offence you'd be a lifer mate.
F. Sidebottom 09-02-2009, 09:04 i've never been convicted of being a thug and if being a cretin was an offence you'd be a lifer mate.
So what was that boast on the thread the other week about going to some away gamee and having to return a week or so later to go to court (and getting convicted) on charges relating to incidents at the game?
Or was that just showing off and 'bigging yourself up'?
Oh dear BJ, shot yourself in the foot again?

Why not congratulate us all then?
What you did was post a mardy attempt to have a dig at most Owls on here. Your OP centred on your criticism of the fact that we didn't fill the seats that you COULDN'T fill - not about congratulating Corker or Thingy.
Your just a big mardy baby.

Yeah it's always the other guys fault.
Is that why you got convicted in a court of law?
The simple fact is you're a convicted thug.
And when it suits you to big up your footballing image to any of the little numpties that kiss your boots on here, you claim it's football related.
And when you want to look 'sensible' you claim it was nothing to do with football.
a liar always trips himself up in the end.

Still can't do it can you.
Congratluate me, and all the other Owls supporters on here for our team beating yours.
you won't be able to do it.
As the advert on TV at the moment says (where the guy gets splashed by a clown in a speedboat, has the chance to get the guy back but chooses not to), we're a different class.
Billy Casper 09-02-2009, 09:31 Bladebloke does spout a load of crap most of the time as do most deluded Blades on here! But although his ramblings are a little purile at this present time at least he's come onto the forum and had a go! One lives in Canada and one has a picture of a shed as his avatar?? Very conspicuous by there absense :suspect:

They are currently having an EGM at present trying to link the sensational defeat on Saturday to Carlos Tevez. Maybe they could get the 6 points back we took off them?

[/SIZE]
I bet he's looking forward to it.
Causing bodily harm to opposing fans - ??
how do you know that ? when you swore at the match did you look round first to see if any kids were in earshot ? i doubt it
i have 4 kids fella btw

you've never seen a double :hihi::hihi:
big mardy baby!!!!. grow up clown
its a pleasure reading the very well thought out and sensible posts from Mr Sidebottom. shame you have to resort to insults in your response -maybe because you dont have a crebible arguement
Go and look up the word dignity in the dictionary. And whilst your at it look up the word gracious. And see if you can find underdog too. :hihi:
And whilst he's at it, get him to check out how to spell different as its really starting to get on my nerves

hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! :hihi::hihi::hihi: nice try to divert attention from your long-ball playing, inept, dis'GRUNT'led, pathetic, useless, abysmal, crap teams performance against THE MIGHTY OWLS!
WELL DONE WEDNESDAY! FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE & RESULT!!
Even Blackwell said it: 'Tudgay's goal was WORLD CLASS!'
bladebloke 09-02-2009, 12:25 I'm right though arn't i?

Antics^^ 09-02-2009, 12:37 They are currently having an EGM at present trying to link the sensational defeat on Saturday to Carlos Tevez. Maybe they could get the 6 points back we took off them?
They say it's us who keeps bringing up the Carlos Tevez affair, every single time it's an Owl or West Ham fan.
Most fans blame something for a defeat (ref, pitch) or even traffic like Brian Laws did. (you see even the "greats" blame defeat on silly little things)
Antics^^ 09-02-2009, 12:40 I think what bladesbloke means is well done to the majority of Owls & not the glory hunters coming out of the woodwork after a derby win!

Wow such a well thought out, constructed post.
How is congratulating the true fans coming across as bitter.
You were the better team on the day, now enjoy your mid-table obscurity :|
