My daughter went with her hubby - as a Wednesday fan in the Kop. I have to say she was disgusted at the behaviour and language of the SUFC supporters and has vowed never to attend again.
Why anyone feels the need to advocate violence or killing to players on the pitch is beyond me.

I'm sorry but this is a ridiculous comment to make. As much as I despise the idiots from Lawsuit Lane you can't honestly expect to go into the WRONG end of the ground, sit at the cheapest part of the stadium (I take it that's true?) and be disgusted at the use of foul language?? So its ok for "grown" men to shout and chant and hurl vile and racist abuse at the opposing players. IN particular Jermaine Johnson.

If you ever, ever think that you can go to a football match and no hear abuse coming from the stands your either entirely deluded or wishing for the death of football.

I have to agree with Willman on this. I take my 3 sons the Hillsborough they are 12, 9 & 6. We usually go to the family enclosure and the language is quite often appalling from the sections aside it and sometimes within.

We have to remember that these kids are the next generation of supporters and should be encouraged to attend at every opportunity. The stewards have a role to play here and should remind supporters about their bahaviour. However by far the biggest detterent would be if ordinary supporters let these morons know that their behaviour is unacceptable.

Yes there is often trouble before and after the derby's. Surely we should say this isn't acceptable we need to be aiming for a situation where people young and old can go and watch the match without fear. IMO that will only happen when ordinary supporters start regulating the behaviour of the moronic few rather than letting them rule the roost.

I think its up to us to try and find an answer:D Maybe I'm not a typical supporter - I certainly wouldn't hurl abuse at the opposition ( apart maybe for Leeds ;) ) . I don't understand some of the extreme views that fans of our respective teams have for each other. Certainly if the blades are in a competition that the owls aren't I'll support the blades as representing Sheffield.

I just long for the utopia when parents can go to the watch a game with children without the fear that they will have to endure foul and abusive language or feel threatened by the propsect of violence before or after the game. Is that too much to ask?

there are idiots in both sets of fans, there always will be and most of the hard core idiots follow the teams home and away, most of the chanting is just a good old jab into each others ribs. Its the hard core fans who live, breathe, eat and s * * t football that chant the really venomous things, both clubs have tried thier best to stop this sort of fan attending matches, but sadly both have failed and im afraid it is a part of being at a footie match for the time being and theres nothing we can do about it.

So because I swear at a football match I'm a thug? For generations, attending a football match on a Saturday has been a way to vent frustration of the working week. Mates meet up, have a drink or two and hurl abuse at opposing teams and officials. Its a stress relief for millions of people all over the world and always has been. Would you rather people be swearing and shouting while out doing their shopping?

At the end of the day, if swearing offends you that much then don't go and don't turn on the TV after 9pm.

Walked out with mi top on full view with a bloody big smile on mi face, got a bit of abuse but 2 fingers on 1 hand and 1 finger on the other wasn't such a good idea

congratulations to you two lads and any other pig who saw your first derby double for 95 years. your type of support deserves it.

to the other 98% of pigs who post on here shame on you. first double since god was a lad and you could'nt be bothered. 1,500 unsold tkts dont tell me you dont know 1 blade who could have got you one.

i've seen your team do a derby double. have you.

ps. to the mod who deleted my first post. hope i've cleaned it up ok.

Congratulations on your entry for the award of pillock of the year - it's hard to see how this entry can be beaten.

You got beat. By the better team.

Obviously that's gonna hurt you to the core - must be churning you up right now. :hihi::hihi:

So what do you do about it? You turn to your old argument about the crowds.

'1,500 unsold tkts '

And you think that is criticism of the Owls?

You can't even sell out your own poxy little shed and you try to make out that we should be ashamed of it?

What happened to all these 'oooohhhhhh they should give us three sides of Hillsborough when we play there' when you can't even fill three sides of your own ground?

What happened to all these 'ooooohhhhh they shouldn't give the owls any tickets - we can fill the ground ourselves' when you quite clearly can't, even for your cup final.

YOU FAILED TO FILL A POKEY LITTLE 30,000 SEATER HOVEL. SHAME ONA LL YOU BLADES.

And by coming on here and blaming us, you're insulting yourself and your own shameful glory hunting suckers who couldn't even be bothered to come and watch you get beat. And you don't even realise it.

one thing i did notice yesterday after all the mouthing and insults wendy were throwing at blades they were very quiet outside on bramall lane and zipping up their coats to hide colours.

So what were you hoping for?

Does your thread about you taking over Legends last year (before you backed down and denied being there) give the game away?

Does your boast on another thread (that got pulled) about getting convicted for 'hooligan' type offences at away games years ago play a part too?

Come on, I dare you to have a big enough mouth to admit you went looking for trouble, or were hoping to see some.

You're a cretin and a thug.

think the most disgusting thing i heard yesterday was the die die piggy die chant from the wendys

It's a pointless and meaningless chant.

We used to sing songs about 'swinging a red, from Hyde Park flats, until he's dead' but we wouldn't do it.

We used to sing songs about hitting scousers/geordie/cockneys with bricks. But we would never do it.

The same fans that sing these songs sit and drink with blades after the game.

It's just a football chant.

So don't start getting on your high horse, because you of all people don't have one.

You're dragging them into this for absolutely no reason - shame on you. How about you consider their feelings for a moment instead of finding ways to justify your petty, childish wimperings.

It ever there was an award for the most feeble attempt to clutch at straws to try to pour scorn on your bitterest (and better) rivals then this would win.

Yeah it's always the other guys fault.

Is that why you got convicted in a court of law?

The simple fact is you're a convicted thug.

And when it suits you to big up your footballing image to any of the little numpties that kiss your boots on here, you claim it's football related.

And when you want to look 'sensible' you claim it was nothing to do with football.

Yes I have swore at a match but like many civilised people I moderate my bahaviour dependant on the company I am in. I certainly don't eff and jeff in front of my own or anyone elses children. Maybe you are the sort that does and sees nothing wrong with this bahaviour :shakes:

So would you like to describe what you think is acceptable behaviour at football matches.

Using foul language in front of children - OK
Shouting abuse at officials - OK
Shouting abuse at opposing fans - OK
Shouting abuse at opposing players - OK
Making threats to opposing fans - OK?
Making threats to opposing players - OK?
Causing bodily harm to opposing fans - ??

how do you know that ? when you swore at the match did you look round first to see if any kids were in earshot ? i doubt it

i have 4 kids fella btw

They say it's us who keeps bringing up the Carlos Tevez affair, every single time it's an Owl or West Ham fan.

Most fans blame something for a defeat (ref, pitch) or even traffic like Brian Laws did. (you see even the "greats" blame defeat on silly little things)
