Gotta laugh at Blackwells face on the front of the Green un, he looks like he is lost told fella, he can't last much longer at the lane surely.
Im not been funny blades fans but he reminds you of the type who would get £5.10 cleaning your bogs out never mind managing you.

You won't be 5th for much longer if you keep playing the long ball like you did today. Then again you were beaten by two superb goals:hihi:

Has anyone seen the Blunt on the replay of the Tudgay goal behind the net? All ready to celebrate the shot going wide, then ends up with his head in his hands. Pure comedy gold!

BREAKING NEWS: Sheffield United have today completed the signing of Verne Troyer. In a statement this morning, Kevin Blackwell suggested that Troyer would give the Blades much needed height going forward. When pointing out that Troyer was one of the smallest men in the world, Blackwell appeared to become angry saying "Well what do they want me to do?"

lol, nice one.

I went to the game on Saturday and as a blade it was painful viewing. No idea why we seem to play the long ball all the time, even worse seems to be the idea to continue trying it even after it fails.

Well done to Wednesday, by far the better team on the day.

Nick Montgomery's post match interview was an absolute classic.

"Anyone who knows anything about football would agree that all the best football had been played by Utd". :loopy:

"Wednesday are struggling at the bottom of the league".

I think that he meant to say something like, "Utd have sufficient points in the bag already not to have to concern themselves with the fears of relegation, unlike Wednesday who need around 10 more points to be sure of safety." Unfortunately when he opened his mouth his brains fell out of it, very reminicent of some blunts forum posters. :hihi:

The beamback was good, over 9000 there to watch it, a larger screen would have been nice, not grumbling though as it was a first for us. The Radio Sheffield commentary was first class, well done to all concerned. Only one minus point, I got 28-1 for a 3-1 Owls win, Leon lad what were you doing? ;)

The blunts really had a go at us during the last 10 minutes of the game, it's a pity so many of their 'fans' had already left or were leaving the ground, you would have thought that they would have stayed and tried to cheer their team on to a possble draw.

Being in the (very civilised and excellent) company of a group of Blades on Saturday, I was sitting much nearer the Kop (than the BL end).

I must say the "Blackwell, Blackwell, sort it out " chant that emitted from there with about twenty minutes to go, was music to my ears.

Thanks. It was a very generous invitation from one of your own, and yes for the sake of all concerned somwhow I managed to act in a restrained manner... ..God only knows how!

It was never a problem when I was still a spotty faced adolescent in the sixties, when we last won at your place!
It was everyone all in together then, and good humoured banter between all, and work mate adults were off to the pub together afterwards.
I can still be sociable with opposition fans of the same ilk, for ninety minutes now (as Saturday proved).
But sadly times have changed, and this is no longer the "norm". More's the pity.

Glad to hear it. That's the way it should be.
It's ironic how these recent derby matches have gone, compared to those in the early nineties. Then you were supposedly the underdogs and had the better of them; but it's been the opposite in the last 18 months since you dropped out of the top flight.

But, long may you need to use all of your pool skill, to keep face with your mates :).

Considering all the other events immediately after the last time we did the double in 1914; it'll only take some Serb to shoot some Austrian prince and/or some Germans to murder a Belgian Nurse, and I'll be enlisting to receive the King's shilling!
