does anyone know of a good agency in Sheffield for IT contracting???

I'm thinking of contracting instead of looking for a permanent position and am a bit unsure as to where to start looking

Can anyone help me??

I'm an IT contractor living in Hathersage and working....everywhere except Sheffield.

The bottom line is that I don't think there are any agencies in Sheff that can help you. Contracts do come up in Sheffield from time to time but you'll generally hear about them through Jobserve.co.uk and the agencies will be based elsewhere (usually Manchester or London).

Since I've lived here I've worked in Bristol, Manchester and Leeds.

Modis are a Sheffield agency, and quite a few agencies in Leeds, such as Spring, have Sheffield contracts. Tek in Sheffield have a few small IT contracts but not many. The Spring office in Sheffield doesn't seem to have many IT contracts.

I've worked in Sheffield, Leeds and Chesterfield areas for the last 20 years and most of the contracts I've had have come from Modis, Spring, Hayes and Rullion.
