this morning - the busiest morning of the week sheffield council decided that they would re-surface the junction joining Fitzwilliaim street with the road that leads to the undergroung car park for the whole of West One....... god only knows why a monday morning - and to top it off.......!!!! their idea of traffic control.... well....!!!! im just glad i was still half asleep when i had to negotiate it.......... well done sheffield street force:thumbsup:

Lol I know, I set off to get to school at 12.30 this lunchtime for my exam at 1.30pm... I was horrified at all the works going off outside and was all pent up ready for an argument if they told me I wasn't going through...
Luckily, they just pulled their wagons out of the way and I popped through the gap they'd left and then attempted to negotiate the junction lol
They're still doing it now actually... The surface does feel a lot better and my car's suspension sure is grateful for a nice piece of road lol

What a set of monkeys - seriously street force get worse!

Uh huh - when they started the work on Sunday Morning, they had a "road closed" sign not allowing people to go up from the bottom of the Moor to West One... I wasn't been marooned in my apartment so I squeezed through the gap at the side of the sign and got out lol! oopsie!

;) Well they've got some front, enclosing an entire community and restricting their access to their property! It's the benefit of having a small car you see ;)
Hopefully it should all be over soon. It's a nightmare and one that interferes with lots and lots of road users!

well- road is resurfaced and lined - looks very pretty for the 50 yards of it........ what about the rest of the p*****g road that you need a 4x4 to drive down in comfort.....!!!!!!!! come on sheffiel council......:rant:
