How do chaps of the forum,

After the quite clearly discriminatory and rather sexist night out that my other half has organised on this here forum, I feel we need to react in the only way appropriate for this situation. ie: go to the pub.

How does a whisky tasting night sound? I've had a look at the Sheaf View pub in Heeley, and they have a great selection (plus ales, ciders and cocktails I guess too).

March 14th, 7.30pm?

Coming so far:

Chris
Ed
Julian
Justin
Jaap
Andrew
Michael

Sounds good - Sign me up for this. Not sure about the whisky and cheese though.

I'm more partial to a drop of water. Or in the case of Bourbon - Coke!

Ruby tuesday? Cheese? I don't know what a ruby tuesday is, but I think they do mini cheddars for all your cheese fetishes.

To quote the Wurzels:
"Justin is a zidur drinkur
He drinks it all of thur day
Justin is a zidur drinkur
It soothes all hiz troubles away
Oh arr oh arr aay
Oh arr oh arr aay"

How do all,

I've been told that there's another do going on this night that a few of you might want to go to. If that's the case and it would be easier to postpone i can do? Maybe the following week? I'm struggling for weekends after that.

Definitely up for a whisky night, count me in. Let me know if the date changes from the 14th March though, as that's the only weekend I have free at the moment.

I was doubtful for the 14th, but I should be able to make the 20th.

If it's Friday 20th, then I'd be up for it.

ok chaps, after a bit of a conflag in the pub post badminton last night, its been decided that the original date ie: the 14th is going to go ahead. We'll just have to have another one later in the year for those that can't make it.

What a pain eh?

For those unsure where the sheaf view is its on gleadless road -just off london road (before it turns into chesterfield road near where the train goes across/under london road).
Google map it!

There is a bus service, 53 -brown line, which should stop nearby (it goes from parson cross through town down bramal lane and then along london/chesterfield road out to bradway).

Guess we're sticking with 7:30pm.

Some of us are planning to head on to Simon's party later.
