Only some sites though so I didn't know if it was a BY problem? 21steve 21-06-2005, 10:33 check - http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/status/summary.do Some broadband customers in the Sheffield S11 area may currently be experiencing a loss of their broadband Internet and digital television services. Our engineers are investigating this issue and working to restore service. Service has now been restored in the Sheffield S11 area. Loss of service was due to a blown fuse, which has now been replaced. rich951 22-06-2005, 10:44 Originally posted by 21steve check - http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/status/summary.do Some broadband customers in the Sheffield S11 area may currently be experiencing a loss of their broadband Internet and digital television services. Loss of service was due to a blown fuse, which has now been replaced. A couple of days because of a blown fuse?? I really hope nothing serious ever goes wrong! :) I'm on BY too, but in S6 - fingers crossed nobody ever breaks something this side of town, sounds like it could be weeks to fix! 21steve 22-06-2005, 10:45 im not sure if the fuse was the cause - i just posted an example of what the tool reports. im on BY and i love it ;-) MobileB 22-06-2005, 10:49 Telewest put a connector at the end of the cable into the back of your broadband modem that actually restricts the strength. If you want to speed it up, just remove this restrictor. It goes like lightening afterwards. micksheff 22-06-2005, 10:52 Thanks all I fixed the problem by clearing the temorary internet files. Elphi 24 22-06-2005, 12:33 im on BY and hate it - its down more often than its working particularly in an evening. The past 7 months Ive had 7 engineers none of whom hve sorted the problem. Wouldnt mind if it was different problems each time and cos they dont support wireless have to get someone in (and pay!) to fix that everytme! venger 22-06-2005, 12:59 Mine has seemed to be fractionally slower the last couple of weeks in S5. Nothing really to send sparks flying though. Phanerothyme 26-06-2005, 16:07 Today I seem to be throttled down to something like 490kbps, about one eight of normal speed. anyone else having this trouble Bloomdido 26-06-2005, 16:43 I'm in S13 and it's painfully slow.
