does anyone remember these 2 bus staff from around 1978-9 the first guy was a driver that was a chubby chap and always wore driving gloves with a split in his lip and short curly hair, i think he was called mick, a sort of eddie yates type guy, the second was a conductor from i think the west indies , who always said ok. ok. when you paid him

he used to be on the 34/35 bus route town to upwell street

Was he fairly short and stocky with a greying beard? If its him, we used to call him "Mr Ewok"

He was cool and let us play with the ticket machine he had so we printed our own tickets.

we always used to say that the conductor was the spitting image of the picture of the conductor at the back of the bus ticket , i dont know if anybody else thought that too ??
