View Full Version : What about wednesdays season after saturday ?.

what have wednesday fans got to look forward to after saturdays game with the blades , no hope of the play offs , no cup games , not even the tension off a relegation battle .yet they hope to attract bigger crowds .How will they do this with their season effectively over ?. The game at the lane really is their cup final and season finale. Sad really for such a massive club .

think it might last a few weeks longer mate. saturdays game could well be off.
might work out better for us get morgs and hendo back. plus with the run in to the play offs could do with the lower clubs coming to the lane towards the end of the season. pigs might complain tho that night games are a little bit too intimidating for them. bless.

If the game does get postponed it would be a laugh if sky decided to screen the re-arranged fixture , no way would wednesday return all the beam back money .

"pigs might complain tho that night games are a little bit too intimidating for them. bless."

Are they? We seemed to cope alright last season as I recall, and it was you who relied on an own goal and a late setpiece to get you out of jail!

I don't think the rearranged game would be on Sky anyway, chances are it'd be rescheduled to coincide with a Champions League night.

set piece is two words . shall we call it a draw now and concentrate on football banter?

i think wednesday's season is over when cardiff visit on the last match,if i'm correct i've got another 15 or so beer fuelled days at the football, who cares where we finish in the league as long as they don't run out of the ale and pies.....you should know by now that it all ends in tears for you bl-aids.....apart from your many triumphs in the old county cup.......

I'm at the beamback this year, but I'm not one to miss games if I can help it. I'd just rather give the money to my club than donate £29 to your lot, I'd feel dirty doing that. If it wasn't been shown I'd drag myself to the lane, as I have done many times before to watch us play there.

Obviously this will make me a part-timer or something in your supporters rulebook, so I must apologise.

didn't say it was but are we only allowed to talk about the present season now and not hark back to the bygone era,if so here goes......

2008-09 season.....went to ale house then the match back to alehose then to bed.....this was repeated on numerous occasions throughout the season and again we won naff all but cannot wait for the 2009-10 season to start so this ritual can be repeated until the day i pop my clogs.....happy now

After recent Slug accusations that Wednesday called off their last game to save themselves for the Derby, can I be the first to say that any postponement of the Derby game would be an outrageous decision, a very convenient way to allow the Slugs 'stars' to be back after injuries and suspension...... Yep, it will probably be postponed, PUT DIAMONDS ON IT! :hihi:

Wednesday will continue to hold their own and my pre-season prediction of 9th looks spot on at the moment.

All the Wednesday fans need to get down there with spades and snow shovels and clear all the streets.
This is probably our best chance yet of 'doing the double'

what are you rambling about, wednesdays season wont end after this game, what about the season a couple years ago when we were same position, we went on a storming run and finished just outside the play-offs, it isnt over, the last few seasons wednesday have gone on a fantastic run so you never know where it could lead us, not saying we will get in the play offs but it will still be exciting. All goes to the last game against cardiff, maybe the last play off spot would be between you and cardiff and need us to beat em so you get in them :hihi: that would be interesting

What ya gonna come up with if we kick your arse and your lot don't get promoted?
The thing your lot don't get about us is that we are happy with stability because we know the crap we have gone through hasn't made us healthy but until and if we get took over then we are well happy with where we are and the job BL is doing
