This has all the makings of a Wednesday win on Saturday, the Blades camp is in turmoil lol  WhiteHawk 03-02-2009, 19:50 Bit of service to him wouldnt go amiss though to be fair. To be fair, you're right there. sheff71 03-02-2009, 19:53 He's just not suited to how we play, with the tendency at times to get it forward asap. He's not as bad as most say, but just lacks that burst of pace really... He was unfortunate to join when Beattie did, as he was always guaranteed a start, and a pairing of Beattie and Sharp just wasn't quick enough... Won't get many better chances to do a derby double than this, what with Wendy all fresh after sabotaging the pitch in the week before the derby for the second year running, and United struggling to put out a squad! WhiteHawk 03-02-2009, 19:54 I'm so not looking forward to Saturday....... royek 03-02-2009, 20:10 He is going to have to play the ball to feet now the target man has gone, good lets see some decent football for once. Nothing wrong with a little bit of trial and error sheff71 03-02-2009, 20:20 Nothing wrong with a little bit of trial and error Last time we supposedly tried to play football was under a certain Mr Robson, and we all know how well that went! I don't think United fans have enough patience for a passing style like Donny, there'd be too many getting on theirr backs to get it forward! All those years of Bassett & Warnock I suppose, you get used to getting it forward quickly... If he denies that he's done this to appease the supporters, then I for one, don't believe him. The Pigs are in a rut, the difference is they're happy with mid table mediocrity and us Blades strive for a bit more. Leave em to it i say, they're happy stirring up talk of unrest at the Lane when the reality is we're in a play off position which is a great place to be at the beginning of February. The acid test for us is how we perform in the last 3 1/2 months of the season. Billy B 04-02-2009, 09:59 Was at the match last night what a great win, wont need Henderson just keep Ward on the shoulder of the last man and he will terrorise that awfully slow defence. And maybe Lupoli will be the new Sir Bobby of Davison Billy B Bring on Saturday Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 10:00 The Pigs are in a rut, the difference is they're happy with mid table mediocrity and us Blades strive for a bit more. Leave em to it i say, they're happy stirring up talk of unrest at the Lane when the reality is we're in a play off position which is a great place to be at the beginning of February. The acid test for us is how we perform in the last 3 1/2 months of the season. We're happy because we have improved on previous seasons, all of us expected to finish around mid-table, and at the moment, that's where we are. Mission accomplished so far. And don't think for one minute that the fans and the new regime are not striving for more, it's coming, but will take a little time. With all our problems, we'll still be in the same league as you next season, so you see, you're STILL not that superior, according to you lot, you were going to be 'out of sight' this season ..... and you're not. Billy B 04-02-2009, 10:06 Earwiggo A little time how about a decade or two, you are still 30 million in debt no increase in gates (paying customers) no investment coming so what do you fantastic club do? Buy a big flag that cant go on the kop as it would fall down through the holes in the crowd (your fans words not mine) What is going to happend on April 1st when no investment is forthcoming, the bank may want there money back administration bekons. Billy B scottf 04-02-2009, 10:13 what has happened to the takeover anyway- not heard anything for a while and they only have a few weeks left? (genuine question- not a pi$$take) crookesey 04-02-2009, 11:00 what has happened to the takeover anyway- not heard anything for a while and they only have a few weeks left? (genuine question- not a pi$$take) This time they are doing it properly by not opening their big gobs at every available opportunity. Who knows what the deal holds? My guess is that they are still putting it together, but whatever the future brings it can't be worse than the proceedings of the last few years. Utd on paper have got everything in place to gain promotion and hold on to a Premiership position. But this was the case under Warnock and they only managed a single season. We can't even say what position we will be in post the takeover, Man City thought that all their birthdays had come at once what with the Arab money but they still look crap to me. canadablade 04-02-2009, 11:03 With all our problems, we'll still be in the same league as you next season, so you see, you're STILL not that superior, according to you lot, you were going to be 'out of sight' this season ..... and you're not. Sad, very sad. CorkerSWFC 04-02-2009, 12:28 Now now boys, no need to get all personal its only derby week:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang: hurstyowl 04-02-2009, 12:31 i think although they have a chance ipswich wont be there or there abouts at the end. Funny feeling cardiff will be gracing the premiership next season with their quality stadium, are some of their stands standing and not seated? scottf 04-02-2009, 12:33 i think although they have a chance ipswich wont be there or there abouts at the end. Funny feeling cardiff will be gracing the premiership next season with their quality stadium, are some of their stands standing and not seated? Brum Blades Preston And i think QPR might sneak in. Cardiff leave there ground at the end of the season to move to a new stadium so there horrible old ground can't grace the premiership! hurstyowl 04-02-2009, 12:35 ahhhh i see. i think same as you but qpr will make way for cardiff, preston may have a little run of bad results now though. alex3659 04-02-2009, 12:36 As I previously inferred, little man, little life, little hope for you really. Sad, very sad. as I will say child , baby , mardy arse , the only time I will bring it up is when you lose track of reality and start your infantile insulting rants , all this started because I said I think there is a possibility of wednesday going bust . you then went on one slagging and saying theres no chance , you comment on peoples brains when yours is clearly tormented, you say your not going to reply and then do the oposite . I will state again in my opinion bankruptsy is a very clear possibilty for wednesday , you might not like it but it is a fact . not sad but glad . Yes the stand next to the away stand is indeed terraces, there new ground looks wicked aswell pics here http://www.cardiffcitystadium.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=13&Itemid=42 Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 13:37 as I will say child , baby , mardy arse , the only time I will bring it up is when you lose track of reality and start your infantile insulting rants , all this started because I said I think there is a possibility of wednesday going bust . you then went on one slagging and saying theres no chance , you comment on peoples brains when yours is clearly tormented, you say your not going to reply and then do the oposite . There's a chance that loads of clubs (yours included) could go bust. Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 13:39 Earwiggo A little time how about a decade or two, you are still 30 million in debt no increase in gates (paying customers) no investment coming so what do you fantastic club do? Buy a big flag that cant go on the kop as it would fall down through the holes in the crowd (your fans words not mine) What is going to happend on April 1st when no investment is forthcoming, the bank may want there money back administration bekons. Billy B We're managing now without a 'tekoar', and we will always be ok. We always have been. No tekoar, still no worries. hurstyowl 04-02-2009, 13:42 wednesday wont go bust, theres always risks of it but if we can survive a year without a proper source of money then when we do get taken over we'll be fine. Stockers 04-02-2009, 13:43 We're managing now without a 'tekoar', and we will always be ok. We always have been. No tekoar, still no worries. Head in the sand, i like it buddy  As for the comment about loads of clubs going bust, i can honestly see one or two going in the next 18 months, its not unthinkable in the current climate. We could indeed go bust, but we've been managed well, our finances are in order, we only have a £3m debt (having paid back £10m this season) - bugger thats where all the money went!!! Look at it like this, whose most likely to go bust, a club with a £3m debt or a club with a £27m debt struggling to keep up the repayments? Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 13:45 We are out of sight from you lot earpiggo :hihi: And you shower bet a get a move on because you are closer to the bottom of the table than the top...Have a look mush, you are only 9 points from the bottom 3 :o:o Seems like things are pretty much back to normal at the Sty after the new chairman brought your club from the 70's into the 90's and settling for mid table mediocrity--- Never mind its your Cup final Saturday  What a larf! You can only see Wednesday looking towards the bottom, and you lot looking towards the top. If we're 'out of sight' of you (as you stupidly claim), then we are 'out of sight' of the bottom. Or are your maths really that crap? The club with 23m, or 24m or whatever debt is obviously the more likely to go bust, but the bank continues to be ok with us, the future is looking rosier and the present board are very confident of turning things round for us. We can't be in worse hands than we have been for the last 10 years, so we have every chance I reckon. You never know, if administration becomes imminent, then we can always go out again rattling our tins and our Save Our Owls campaign. ;) canadablade 04-02-2009, 13:56 You never know, if administration becomes imminent, then we can always go out again rattling our tins and our Save Our Owls campaign. ;) Or you could go and click a turnstile at the Sty :o:o Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 14:02 Morning CB. Wake up first before you start typing, theres a good lad! Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 14:03 Or you could go and click a turnstile at the Sty :o:o Don't worry, I'll be going very soon, I've got the motivation again. So that'll be 15,001 for the next game eh? canadablade 04-02-2009, 14:04 Morning CB. Wake up first before you start typing, theres a good lad! when was the last time you heard the click of the turnstile behind you at the Sty and gave wednesday some dosh...I was there for the Sheffield derby last season so I am guessing i was the last one out of the 2 of us to be there :hihi::hihi: Earwiggo 04-02-2009, 14:09 when was the last time you heard the click of the turnstile behind you at the Sty and gave wednesday some dosh...I was there for the Sheffield derby last season so I am guessing i was the last one out of the 2 of us to be there :hihi::hihi: :hihi: :hihi: I can't compete with your supreme wit CB....
