Hi Gang,

Here is our storm, earlier this afternoon. That lot transferred from the position on the photo and currently sits further east, working its way to the North Sea.

Really bad in Derbyshire. It has been going on all afternoon. Only just stopped now. Been throwing it down nearly all day though. Hope it isn't like this when I go away :(

We had two very close lightning strilkes, - power off twice and burgo went off three times. We still haven't got full voltage as the lights are pretty dim but it seems enough to power the TV and PC.

Some spectacular lightning over Stannington and Hilssboro'

It's clever rain. It knows that it can catch all the slappers in their white shoes and mess them up.

I'm sorry, I seem to have gone into bitch mode tonight. Apologies! (I've got my scariest exam tomorrow.)

Good luck with your exam & it has started raining heavily again in sunny Barnsley.

We had a strike on the house that took out the router at 5.45 :(

Luckily it stopped there, and we've got the spare one up and running now (otherwise how would I be writing this? :hihi: ).

It was one of the loudest things I've ever heard :help:

Hi, I think I may have witnessed "Ball Lightning" during the storm on sunday, I live at Frecheville, and have a really good view north to south east, after watching the storm from my bedroom window, I noticed two objects floating N/S, using my binoculars showed them to be circular the upper one dark, and the lower one white in colour, I ran downstairs to get my high power bins, went straight out into the garden, and they had dissapeared, total sighting time appx 2mins, did anybody else spot them?
cheers, intitot

I missed all the fun because i went to the cinema for a 6:15 showing. By the time we came out it was just a little drizzle and water everywhere.

I was driving down Halifax Road when the rain suddenly turned into one of the biggest downpours I've ever seen. Even with the wipers on super-speed I could only see about 5 yards in front.
