Can anyone give me any advice about my new pup? Can anyone recommend a good puppy food. The vet has advised I use their food but i've been giving him pedigree chum puppy at the moment. Thanks

Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Wainwrights, and Burns are all supposed to be really good brands of food - they aren't full of colourings and rubbish like some foods, for example bakers. Royal Canin also do breed specific foods and have a special 'German Shepherd' food.

I remember my GSD puppies having an additive on their food called SA37 and also Calcidee tablets to help with their bone structure, I also remember them having weetabix and eggs!

I'd always recommend speaking to a GSD breeder who know what's best, you're very lucky to have him/her I envy you, though not with the puppy training in this weather until they're about 12 weeks old you'll be mopping up but they soon get used to it.

Make sure they're warm at night too (hot water bottle in basket?) cos they'll be used to having their mum around ;)

I think Lyndix on here owns a GSD too....

ThanksThe answer to that is that your breeder should have given you all that information, as sudden changes in diet don't do dogs any good

Do you still have the number for the breeder?
