I'll be 40 on that very day:cool:.
Would probably be interested in this idea as the last BD party I had was my 21st :(.
Don_Kiddick 19-06-2005, 12:23 Jon! Jelly, ice cream, peanutbutter n jam sarnies, pop, crisps, a bouncy castle - whatever your heart desires mate!
It's your birthday year after all!

If you were 40 in 1966,they might let you go !
Used postage stamps wanted
Surely this is discriminating against unused stamps and should be removed.
i,m 40 on july 31st 2006:o
Count me in.
(i've just surprised myself,i never admit my age,it's a vanity thing)
I just miss out mine is October this year  But I would have been in the same school year (Sept to Aug) this should count :D
Awww
I love a party too.but i be 30 next year in july.can i just join in too to see what i've got comming to me in the next 10 years when i do get to 40,then i will be ready if any shocks that are to come to me :D.
I'll be 40 on the 24th of March, next year. It looks like 1966 was a good vintage:thumbsup:

Don_Kiddick 20-06-2005, 23:57 Nice one PB, thanks for that! :hihi:
Looking good so far!
bensonhedges 21-06-2005, 06:29 Blimey there's loads of us - my 40th will be April 30th 2006. Still feel like I'm 25 though...
Any ideas yet Don where the party will take place? is it going to be a pub crawl or something like paintballing or we could hold a school disco :hihi: anyone else have any ideas how we should spend the day?
 Jon
melthebell 21-06-2005, 18:20 NO! 1969 :P
so ill toodle off to another thread i suppose :P
Don_Kiddick 21-06-2005, 21:56 No idea really Jon.
As I posted originally I just came up with it as a laugh, but interestingly it's looking promising.
As it progresses & more people are added maybe someone higher up the food chain than myself will hit on a venue /theme that will suit a ragged band of 40 year olds :hihi: I like the school disco idea though at the moment.
We could maybe start the day off with a coach trip to the Speedwell /Blue John Mine & take a tray of soggy egg & cress sarnies - like we were forced to do as kids!
We have exactly a year to sort it though
TTFN
Bump bump bump :suspect: what its my first bump bump bump..............are we still meeting next year?

I say keep it selective
40 next year or not allowed to join the fun and frivolity.

Jelly and ice cream eh? I'm prepared to lie to go to this party! :suspect:
lizzmobile 20-08-2005, 00:06 Yup, too I'll be 40 on 27 Feb 2006*. Got some school chums I'm trying to convince to join SF so who knows. If the party is on midsummer's day it might be nice to organise plan A outside then back it up with plan B inside given the fantastic weather we get in this country.
Funnily enough I was going to arrange a picnic in Hyde Park (London) for that very day for London/Paris chums to celebrate the fourtyness.
*OOh, creepy, first time I've written that down. *shudder*

:heyhey: But I won't be 40 until December 2006. That means I won't be allowed. When will I get the chance to wear my new cowboy boots and sparkly Tammy Winnette shawl? Or will I be welcome because I'll be 40 after you because you are lots and lots older than me:D

Don_Kiddick 20-04-2006, 13:49 Just revamping this cos June is fast approaching!
lizzmobile 20-04-2006, 13:54 Funnily enough, as my birthday is in Feb, which is not a good month for al fresco activity, and heaps of chums live down south etc, I had been thinking about having a party on 21 June too!
Most excellent idea; which park d'ya reckon?
Looking into my crystal ball, I see.... loads of people, great music, dancing, sunshine, SF flags (!), drinks a-plenty, sunshine, happy families, people snogging, picnic blankets, sunshine, laughter, ball games, lots of chatting, communal food, oh, and some sunshine.
EDIT: *Whispers ... And of course we need a plan B in case we don't get the sunshine...
the_rudeboy 20-04-2006, 14:00 I'm 40....................... plus 2 this year......can I come? :D
lizzmobile 20-04-2006, 14:07 Oooh, dunno rudeboy. Gonna have to have a strokey-beard meeting about that.
