My dog has gone missing where i live. Its a yorkie and a small one too. I don't know what to do! I have had a look for him around the area, but theres no sign of him.
He went missing around yesterday dinner time in Glen Howe Park. I'm afraid that somebody thought he might be a lost dog and taken him away!
I have rung the the relevant people and there has been no luck.
What is the next step i should take.
And does anyone know of his whereabouts in the local area?
Thanks

Iam sorry to hear your dredful news.
If you have checked the local police station for found dogs and reported yours missing and have rung round the local kennels theres not much else you can do.
I would however do some posters and leaflet drops around the park area just in case.
Definately go back to the area where he went missing and give it some time if its not far from where you live and the dog can make his way home make sure someone is there just in case. With him being male he might have got scent of a female on heat and followed his nose... like they do!
Try not to get into a state I know how upsetting it can be but your best just trying to retrace your/his steps and just keep asking round the local shops and passers by.
Iam sure he will turn up
Good luck

check out the local takeaway stores - not for that reason before anyone asks - but there's always waste food and rubbish - if the dogs hungry then he'll eat it... then again it is the weekend he could end up covered in chilli and mayo..
Hey Dede28,
Try registering with UK petsearch the service is free it's at ukpetsearch.freeuk.com. Also this has worked in the past - contact local schools in your area and ask the headteacher to put out an announcement in the school assembly for you to make a it a game for the kids to look for your pet on the way to/home from school. Offer a reward but don't specify the amount - what's a small reward to you may be a BIG reward to them. Also lollypop (men &women) milkmen and other people out and about your area early will also help if you give them a poster with a photo. Good Luck!!

People, this reminds me of the time i saw a little scruffy Jack Russel get hit by a car next to my home, he had no collar, but looked well fed but scruffy, he came running to me and i took him to a vet, the thing is, he would have been someone's mutt but as he had no collar disc all the vet could do was patch him up (he was ok) and let the RSPCA take him. If you have a dog, please get it tagged or a disc on with a number.
