I seem to have quite a lot of dried yellow split peas in, which I normally make into a soup but just wondered if anyone had an other veggie ideas on what to do with them.

Do you have a blender? You can still boil them, and then add a bit of water , or blitz it with boiled potatoes to get a kind of puree and use it as a topping in a veggie version of a shepherd's pie or something.

If they are the kind which is quite hard, then add extra liquid to soften it, or if they are pretty hard, then use it as a whole, like cous cous or something. It can go into a veggie mix, kind of like mince at the bottom of a shepherd's pie.

You could make a delicious tarka Daal...?
