Does anyone remember when there were shops on Crookesmoor Rd next to the Old Unity Chuch?(nr. junction with northumberland rd).They were made into student accomodation about 15 years ago I think but I would be interested to see any photos of them in the 60s and 70s if anyone knows of any.

Beer off shop run by a fella with one arm

Hurbert Fairy’s plumbing shop

Small shop that later turned into a Spar shop

Next one along I can’t remember this being a shop. Someone else may help here

Last shop was a Hair Dressers shop
