I'm going to be moving into an upper maisonette within the next few months and I was wondering if anyone else could let me know how easy they found it to move all their furniture into this type of property. I am a little concerned that the stairwell is quite narrow and very winding, so will there be problems with larger pieces of furniture?

The people who live there have a very large sofa, so I'm sure there must be a way of getting this sort of stuff in there. I'm not going to move the stuff myself, I'm going to hire someone, so does anyone know a good removal company who is happy to deal with this kind of property?

Also once I'm in there I plan on getting one or two other new bits of furtniture - again do you find there are any problems getting companies to deliver furniture into the property?

You should be ok getting more or less anything up to your maisonette. The only problem might be if you have a narrow stairway inside your maisonette. Someone I know had to send a sofa back to the shop because they couldn't get it round the corners inside his flat.
