It's too hot for me to be outside! And I've got all the windows open and my fan on and it's still all sweaty.

Walked to shops and back, did the garden and staying indoors now rather than going 4 walk round rother valley as its far too warm... and only 2 and a quarter hours until the Dr Who programme and the final episode

Off for a walk tomorrow though. Must remember to bring shades

Glad I'm not in Birmigham - there is sommat truly bizarre going on during the heatwave - the Gritters are out !!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/4107002.stm

Bit odd that they get retrained every 5 years. Does the snow change or sommat ?

Went down to Roche Abbey about 3... stayed approx 20 mins as it was far too hot in the sun but loads of flies etc in the shade... not complaining mind as its topping up my cypriot tan!!!

Can't wait for the storms though - hope its a big one with thunder and everything! So beautiful, yet so scary that I have been known to hide in my bathroom (not sure why, something to do with fire and water me thinks but I've done it ever since I was a kid and never been struck so why tempt fate and stop now?! :loopy: )

Sat in the garden most of the afternoon reading a book.

Chest and stomach as red as.

Had to smear alo vera green stuff all over to cool it down. I'm dreading having a bath.

Ventured out again with book and read until I could not make out the words at 10.20pm.

You'll be glad to know I've just done the washing up!

I'm in Yarm - not going to make it to MML tomorrow :( And was so excited about it! Have so much work to do with some of my online portfolio I can't afford to make it. Going to spend all day in the garden with MTV on and soaking up the rays.

Enjoy it though mate :)

If I had a car I'd be more than willing to offer you a lift, but unfortunatly a little accident at Christmas and I no longer have one :(

I really wanted to see the proclaimers! Arrgh! I'm jealous that you're even getting to go. Sure you'll have a great time too!

dunno if were gonna bother going tbh.

its only 11.35 and its boiling already..........dont fancy an hour each way on the bus with the kids, 4 or 5 hours in the sun nowhere to go to get way from it........seeing all the no mark bands in the day then missing all the bands i do want to see........plus theyve cancelled the arena ones i really wanted to see, all the dance, drum and bass and a reggae band :(

gonna go to the missuses mums at sandsend instead, maybe walk to whitby for a couple of hours.

Well. I left my washing out on the line, and had to go out to get it off. No more than a minute in the rain and I was absolutely soaked through to the undercrackers!

:suspect: The Proclaimers? They're playing at Cambridge. I'm consciously going to avoid them.
