...with help from my local yarn pusher, This! (http://rsveverka.com/chileconyarne/2008/04/baby-viking-hat/) Now I know that it shouldn't technically have horns but DS1 says do them - the Vikings are visiting school on Thursday ... do you think I will get it finished in time :suspect:

how about if you concentrate on the main hat bit and, if you run out of time fashion a couple of horns out of socks and sew on?

Things are going pretty well - the hat part is nearly done so there should be plenty of times for the horns :) If I have time Im thinking fo attaching a central band to run over the top so it looks more authentic - couldn't be bothered to try and work out how to knit it in as I was worried about time so I would need to do it separately and whip stitch it on - do you think that would work :suspect:

I sent my little Viking (http://www.flickr.com/photos/19810784@N08/3254661335/) in this morning for his Viking workshop - he was rather pleased with the finished hat:D Luckily school had not shut this morning - he would have been most unhappy otherwise.

thats absolutely fab!!!!!!

now he'll have warm ears when playing out and youll be able to spot him a mile off to make sure he doesnt do himself an injury.

you must have been knitting at the speed of light to get it done in time.

brilliant- well done!

If the Vikings knew that a knitted hat looked this good I'm sure that's how they would have made them!
