View Full Version : Players Bar Sheffield - Shut Down?

Does anyone know if the players bar on west street has shut down already? Someone just told me it had but I aint heard anything and have a massive session planned for Sunday which includes us all going to the players bar!!!
Can anyone confirm/deny the rumours? I know some of the staff who work there come on here :E

theres football on sunday afternoons too if u fancy a pint while u watch a match or two!

but its guestlist only after 12.30

but then i have to be up at 8am for uni monday so i guess thats a good thing
Nope nope and nope we are 100% open and this sunday a special late one, as we are open till 4am for the superbowl, FREE event which you can attend by going to our facebook group or e-mailing me k.laws@playersbars.com

CarlSheff 01-02-2009, 03:09 It should be shut down they cramb far too many people in that is allowed that is almost certain!!! I would love to know the capacity for this place and have passed on my concerns to police etc as every time i have been in you cannot move. Stupid really so much for caring about the customer!!!

We NEVER charge people to get in. As for queueing well we can only let so many people in, wouldn't want to go above our legal capacity :thumbsup:

its always totally free to get in!!
So here's a question then, will Players be showing 6 Nations rugby? Trying to find somewhere in town that shows the matches is a right pain, I'll not go into the fun I had last year trying. If Players will be showing them with both sound and vision and not turning over to the football with no warning, I'm there Saturday :thumbsup:

I'd rather look at a well-maintained bar than a boarded up shell.

If it was a brothel I frequented I probably would be upset. (I don't frequent Players BTW, living in Leeds and that)
