Simply Knitting did one a while ago, it was a Mother Hen. It was wearing a dress and i think it had chicks too.

There's this (http://angelus-errare.blogspot.com/2008/03/need-last-minute-easter-gift-or.html) freebie one. Technically a egg cosy, but it looks like you might be able to seam it up and stuff it.

I like this one (http://www.knitwhits.com/online_store/for_the_home/hettie.php), which is available as a paid-for email download.

ETA: I know it's not what you're after, but how cute is this (http://www.knitwhits.com/online_store/for_the_home/bramble.php) little owl from the same designer?

Also this one (http://www.blueskyalpacas.com/pattern_detail.php?patterns_ID=136) from Blue Sky Alpacas. Another American pattern, though this time apparently not available for download, but they do have a list of UK shops (http://www.blueskyalpacas.com/retailers.php?country_ID=UK) which stock their products. I haven't checked if it's in stock at any of them though.

There's some chickens and a large turkey which I'm sure you could adapt in the Rowan Organic Kids collection. It's at John Lewis.

I'm making one for my mum for mother's day, she's been agitating for some real ones for years.

John Lewis will give you a free Easter Chick pattern if you buy a ball of wool from them at the mo :)
