It would be a terrible signing, Andy Gray was pony last time he was with us. Ousetunes 30-01-2009, 08:57 He's put a bit of weight on since his golden days at Everton and I'm surprised he'd swap the comfort of the Sky Sports commentary box for cold Bramall Lane. I have got the right Andy Gray here, haven't I? Also, swapping Paddy for ex-England goalie Peter Shilton is an ace move. Nice one, Blackie! I'd rather have Sky Sports Andy Gray!!! JC02 30-01-2009, 10:03 I think he would be a good signing. daftlad 30-01-2009, 10:46 Said on radio sheff this morning united have denied reports linking them with andy gray but there will be one in and one out of the lane today CheekyBandit 30-01-2009, 10:46 How bad can it get at the lane? just heard that Andy Gray is coming back it was on radio sheffield this morning he carnt even get in charltons side what a joke. :loopy: Please take him. Especially when he is injured. http://www.cafc.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=33690 CheekyBandit 30-01-2009, 10:55 I'd rather have Sky Sports Andy Gray!!! You will probably even prefer this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Gray_(footballer_born_1964) CorkerSWFC 30-01-2009, 11:21 Andy Gray was non existent at Hillsborough the other day, Deon Burton's in front of him in the pecking order now what doe's that tell you. sccman 30-01-2009, 11:38 Dont worry Andy Gray is out for the season (On charlton website and sky) with injury Bladesman 30-01-2009, 12:25 Lets hope he is injured and its not just a "touch of the flu". :) Mind you I think Gray rejected a move to Stoke the other week and that was after they had already got Beattie. sham.69er 01-02-2009, 14:07 How bad can it get at the lane? just heard that Andy Gray is coming back it was on radio sheffield this morning he carnt even get in charltons side what a joke. :loopy: we re now a team of cheap options, players and manager alike..just like the "good old days" sham.69er 01-02-2009, 14:08 I think he would be a good signing. ha ha ha ha JC02 01-02-2009, 15:26 ha ha ha ha He was a decent player when he was with us, people where peed off when we sold him a few years ago. Players don't become bad over night, it was the poor players around at Charlton and low condfidence what's made him not do well. But if he's injured, well i guess it wont be him. All some players need is an arm around their shoulder. Stockers 01-02-2009, 16:06 He was a decent player when he was with us, people where peed off when we sold him a few years ago. All some players need is an arm around their shoulder. He wasn't a decent player, he was garbage. Which 'people' were peed off when we sold him, i was on holiday with about 10 other Blades at the time, we beat Leicester 4-1 and sold Gray a day later for £1.2m to Sunderland, i was over the moon, bemused Sunderland had paid so much, laughing my head off etc, peed i was not!!! WhiteHawk 01-02-2009, 16:13 Andy Gray scored 18 goals for us in one season, how can you call him a bad player? He's not the same player now though so we'd be stupid to get him back. Theres good quiz question about Andy Gray aswell; Which player scored for 2 different teams on the first day of the (whatever year it was) football season? Andy Gray scored for us against Leicester then went to Sunderland and scored for them in their first game of the Premiership season. sham.69er 01-02-2009, 16:54 he was rubbish, end of,and if he comes back tell me who he will replace? coz what we already have are far better than him  WhiteHawk 01-02-2009, 17:37 I disagree. He was great when we had him. As I've already said, he got 18 goals, what more can you ask for from a striker? Some people are unreal. Were you all saying the same about Beattie when he only got 22 goals? I do agree though that we don't want him back, if he can't even get into the Charlton team then he can't be any good! As for our current strikers being better, yes but they're not much better, Billy Sharp is probably worse. |
