hiya

we have just had virgin broadband/telly and phone put in. we got a netgear wgr614 wireless router my laptop works perfectly with it but my lads xbox360 wont go online properly its really glitchy and keeps chucking him off..

for the past 4 hours i have been passed from virgin to xbox to netgear and back again it is getting really daft, hubby is back on the phone to virgin now after the 3rd hour long conversation with xbox support

has anyone else had this trouble????

so what did you end up having to do? or is your xbox still not online?

thanx Col but it might aswell have been in russian cos i dint understand abit of it, and when i tried putting the username admin and the password.. password it was having none of it anyway.

after last nights nightmare 4 hours being passed from piller to post

a 5 min phone call today sorted it.. all it needed was the channel on the router changing from 06 to 11

an absolutly brilliant scottish bloke called frank sorted it and was so helpful it was unbeleivable :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Do Virgin actually supply routers now? I thought they just supplied the cable box and it was up to you to sort out a wireless solution.

they have just been having a deal on called the credit crunch deal, telly/broadband/phone all for £30 and a free wireless router

im glad its sorted to, now its workin perfectly ( well i hope so anyway cos the xbox hasnt been put back upstairs yet ) but its working downstairs and it wasnt earlier :)
