I need to send proof to the bookies on the internet, birth certificate/driving licence/ bank card, so that they know to send the money to the right person!.
They say email it, but how the hell can i email a paper document!, god why do they make it so bloody hard to understand:huh::suspect:

Scan it, pdf it, email it - easy (if you have a scanner!)

If you have a digital camera that can focus closely, you could try photographing the pages

Scan it in or take a digital photo of it and attach it to the email.

I hope you understand that email is NOT secure and can be easily intercepted by others. I would be very wary of anyone wanting me to email them those sort of documents, as it would not be verifiable by them that the documents are genuine and the risk of them getting stolen is high.

From a quick browse around it sounds like you won't be able to withdraw without providing the ID.

The email would be as safe as, say, sending the document in the post. Potentially safer in fact, since human involvement is likely to be low.

I would be far happier sending those types of document by recorded post than by email. Fax would probably be the most safe method - it's a lot more difficult to hack into a fax transmission than an email transmission.

Edit: Who's the bookies asking for this?

Just out of interest did they ask for proof of your age before accepting your bet?, and if it was done online, then tell them to just credit the card that was used to deposit the funds to make the bet in the first place, thats what i did when i won $1600 once in an online casino and they did that no problem!!

I am sure that they are legit, and if I lived in Australia, and I was an addictive gambler with no assets to lose, I would give them the ID after a couple of checks.

However, I think that you would be a fool to send such information to them over the wires.

If you want, you can send me copies of your birth certificate, Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, CV and mothers maiden name, and I will check out the risk for you and let you know whether to go ahead or not.
