View Full Version : Jermaine Johnson....Off Again.
Earwiggo 28-01-2009, 11:35 Is Brian Laws right to keep subbing JJ after around 70 minutes every game, regardless of how he's playing? He scared Forest to death on a good few occasions on Tuesday, and was subbed again. What do you reckon Laws is thinking, when he continues to do this? We were the better team all night, and a lot of the game was played in Forest's half, then JJ came off, and we were pushed back more and more. Confused? I am.

I was glad to get home the stewards treat you like crap.
Earwiggo 28-01-2009, 11:46 Should we have won it Corker? RS thought we should have, and callers to RS said we should have.

Well to be honest Beevers had 1 of those days, he made quite a few mistakes last night in fact a lot, Richard Wood wasnt much better either he let one ball go over his head and let there winger straight in on goal really poor play.
I agree about Johnson though he murdered there defence at times and i cant really think why Lawsey took him off.
The sending off was a joke and the referee needs to be reported he was shocking.
I wouldnt say it was the best game we have played but they certainly gave a good account of themselves to say we had 10 men for most of the match.
Is he physically up to 90 minutes football? Are they protecting him in some way?
Because most of the time there appears to be no logical football decision to Laws hauling him off.
He scared their defence (as he does most defences) , and we were no threat at all once he went off last night.
But a number of players legs were going by 75 minutes, which is understandable when the likes of Michael Gray hadn't played much until recently , combined with us having 10 men.
Johnson is infuriating. He creates space for other players by drawing defenders in, and then does not capilitalise on it by playing them in, but chooses to put in a shot himself from a less favourable angle (or as last night is torn between the two , so he puts in a cross over 10 yards in front of Tudgay, in the form a of a shot 3 -5 yards wide of the goal)
mickdalewood 28-01-2009, 13:34 JJ is a player with no end product, he scares defences yet his end product is nil ie his first goal of the season last night perhaps Lawsey is also fed up of it too hence being hauled off all the time
he has the pace and defenders hate playing against him
Usain Bolt is fast..... doesn't mean he's any good at crossing a ball either. ;-)
i agree ,he has no end product and dont score enough
Thingything 28-01-2009, 14:54 The trouble with J.J is that he isn't a team player,he thinks too much of himself and looks after number 1 rather than the team, fair enough hes a decent player and on his day can be a match winner but he isn't consistent enough
Lets hope he saving it all up for a week tomorrow.....
