What do you think of Coldplay's new album X+Y?

I don't think that it's as good as their previous release 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' but it definately has it's moments and it is not a bad album at all.

It does take a few listens to really love it though.

Your opinions please?

I downloaded it from Napster yesterday.
Its not bad- not brilliant though I thought.

i think its a-pretty-pretty cool

Their single has got on my nerves even faster than Crazy Frog and that's saying something.

i love the speed of sound song! its brilliant. i still havnt had chance to listen to the rest of the album tho. i hope its as good as their last two albums. what does evryone think of their last two albums? i think they are brilliant! works of genius! especially songs such as trouble and clocks and the scientist. when im in a relaxed mood parachutes really is a good chill out album. the songs may be spooky and 'depressing' but that is what i luv cos those sorts of songs make me happy! ok ive probably bored u all now so im just gona ask does anyone have any songs that they recommend listening to on the X n Y album?

Love AROBTTH and Parachutes. X&Y is really good too, don't think it's as good as the other two though. Still, songs like Fix You are brilliant.

I'm glad there's a little anti-coldplay feeling from some people - this album has been a really difficult listen for me, don't think its nearly as good as the previous two - 2 or 3 good tracks...maybe I'll give it some more time...just tend to turn it off after 4/5 tracks, startys to bore me! Obviously, only my opinion...there's much worse stuff in the charts at the mo...!

It can't be that bad. It's #1 in 28 country's at the min :o

I agree with Redinsheff the first 5 or 6 tracks are really good and thought at first play it was gonna be a classic. But after these the tracks seem less memorable.
Maybe they will grow on me.

Parachutes is still my fave Coldplay album - at the moment but the first 5 tracks on the new one are as good.

I'm shocked to find that I really like the new album, and it gets better with every listen. The single's probably one of the worst tracks on the album though, such is the way of these things.

It's good album... but I think "a rush of blood to the head" is better.

The hardest part - I like this song :)
