View Full Version : Parking at Bramall Lane
davedrfc 26-01-2009, 09:35 Just wondering where the best place to park for Tuesday night is? Last time I went to Bramall Lane was for the under 21's game before Christmas and it was a nightmare, and there were only 18000 there. Are you allowed to park in Decathlon and/or Staples for night games or is there a risk of being clamped? I'm considering getting the tram, or even a taxi but I could really do with getting away pretty sharpish as I'm at work straight after the game!

stagecoach 26-01-2009, 10:07 we normally park at what used to be the old yorkshire water works costs a fiver but there is always somebody there
yeah- if you get down early enough and go to the pub before then anywhere around london road is pretty good.
How about getting the bus and/or tram and walking the rest of the way?
Stockers 26-01-2009, 10:24 MFI carpark behind the Hermitage, its closed now so ignore the signs about getting a fine.
Alternatively street parking is free around most of the ground on a midweek match!!
Robbie Loving 26-01-2009, 16:39 If you get there a couple of hours before the game as Scott said, you shouldn't have any problems parking near the ground.
which ever way you come in, turn round in the direction you want to go home and park that way!! as after the match turning round is a nightmare.
bobbyblade 26-01-2009, 21:25 if your going back donny way park on granville rd near college and have your car facing away from ground,10 mins walk and cut through manor onto parkway, youll be home before you know what:)
davedrfc 26-01-2009, 21:33 I'm a Rovers fan but live in Sheffield, up near Manor Top. So this is the nearest away game for me (closer than a home match!) but the two games I've been to in Sheffield this season (Wednesday away, England under 21's at Bramall Lane) have been a nightmare and taken me longer to get to and away from than it does to get to the Keepmoat!

in my previous job i drove near the keepmoat, it doesnt surprise me it takes you longer to get away from our grounds than yours.
Whatever you do don't park behind the Olive Grove bus station. I see the glass from broken car windows there after every game. Some people never learn.
On a side note..... Does anyone reckon i could rent out my driveway on match days? I live just over a mile away

why not - make a few quid , someone will pay to use it
bobbyblade 27-01-2009, 06:06 near granville colege would be best option, its only a 10 minute walk, you pass a pub on the way and its a residential area so cars are usually safe, just park away from centre , youll be home in a jiffy. apart from result good luck!:D
