Maybe they need to make the test harder? They always said in school, American law was based on British common law at that time. Guess it's not that different, even today. I do feel silly missing the PG thing. That should have been obvious. Even to me. And in the US, dog licenses are required. :) Sierra http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4099770.stm?markResults=true&a_01=1&a_02=2&a_03=2&a_04=3&a_05=2&a_06=1&a_07=3&a_08=1&a_09=1&a_10=2&a_11=2&a_12=1&a_13=1&a_14=3&a_15=3&x=28&y=19 JoeP 16-06-2005, 20:20 I got 11. Same here, plus I would be more interested in finding out if a solicitor was qualified as opposed to how much they charge. dishwasher 17-06-2005, 07:39 I'm afraid I only managed to answer eight questions correctly. The questions keep referring to a Guide. Where can you buy it? Amyvictoria 17-06-2005, 08:44 I got 11 right. How many do you need to pass? the whole idea seems a bit suspect to me! StarSparkle 17-06-2005, 12:12 Originally posted by owdlad Same here, plus I would be more interested in finding out if a solicitor was qualified as opposed to how much they charge. I went wrong here as well, Owdlad. It obviously doesn't matter if you end up with a conveyancer defending your right to stay in this country, as long as their charges are reasonable? StarSparkle Jillybabes 17-06-2005, 15:19 I got 9 right, and I was guessing at most of em hehe! maggi 17-06-2005, 19:51 Originally posted by dishwasher The questions keep referring to a Guide. Where can you buy it? According to today's Guardian ( see guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,1508360,00.html ) , the guide is Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship, Crown copyright 2004, available from TSO (The Stationery Office), £9.99, tso.co.uk/bookshop Maggi, who got twelve - thanks for the hints in this thread  ANGELUS 17-06-2005, 20:12 7 for me. I am thoroughly ashamed of myself not knowing where Father Xmas hails from, I'm sure it was lapland the last time??? |
