i have recently got a new computer (well, second hand but new to me lol) but it doesnt have microsoft word on it, my old one had word and i was just wondering if it is possible to transfer it from my old computer to my new one? or am i just being :loopy:?
thanks
No, but you can download loads of free programs that are as good if not better:
Abiword - http://www.abisource.com/
Open office - http://www.openoffice.org/
Are two very good and free alternatives.
If you've got the original word installation disk you should be able to install on your new PC.
If you don't have the original disk you can't transfer it, I've found http://www.openoffice.org/ is the most compatable as you can set it to default save and open word documents and if's free IBM also do a free office type product at http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/home.nsf/home I've tryed both and there not bad for word processing, don't like the database's though access for me is better then then I supose its what your use to.
