View Full Version : Why are barbers always closed on Thursdays!!!
I've just been around 3 different barbers shops and they're all closed!! what is it about Thursday's ????
Is there anywhere open for a haircut today other than the rip-off merchants at Meadowhell where you need to take out a mortgage to have a haircut?
Is this something to do with antiquated half-day closing?
If you're in town it might be to do with the imminent G8 events.
It's not coz it's lunchtime then?
What!? lunch at 2.30pm . . . I've been to Hairport on Page Hall Road, Grahams in Firth Park and A.D Hairdressing opposite the launderette - all shut!

Maybe the barbers' union has turned out in force to protest at the G8 meetings.

 Too much time on line :(
I read that as thinned ears
I've not noticed any barbers closed on Thursday's. Most of the barbers I know close on Monday's if they are going to close and this is generally due to having been open on Saturday's.

Wow!! Does that mean if I work a Saturday Shift I can have Monday off?
In reply to the original question: Why don't you try a Hairdressers instead. They don't usually talk about football or fishing but they can do a mean gents haircut.
I think they probably saw Lestat coming and decided it was too big a job for them :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

It's the only Time he gets, to let his Hair down.

Seems to be the same in Hillsboro'. Think it derives from when Thursday was generally [& compulsory ??] half-day closing across the city, so if the barbers closed on Thursday to compensate for working Saturday they only lost half a day's trade.

Unless you prefer split days off. I would have thought that most people would prefer 2 days off together. Sunday & Monday.
