View Full Version : Am I an Evil and very Bad Man?
My parents have gone away for a week and left my little brother at home.
Today I popped round to find that he'd had the classic "Yellow Pages/French Polisher" type party last night.
There are fag ends and cans all over the garden, stains on the carpet and heaps of crap all over the place (though on reflection, the latter might have been his friends).
Rather than offer to help clean up, I just left and had a chuckle on my way home.
And then it occured to me: Am I evil?
Nope,
I think you're helping his educational development :
Creative Thinking - how to explain this to mum and dad.
Problem Solving - how to clean up.
Arithmetic and Finance - how to pay for the clean up.
English - pleading and begging you for help.
German - tell him to look up the word Schadenfreude. ;)
Nice one - let the little fellow squirm.... :)
Joe :)
It's his mess, why should you help clean it up ?
You should have planted a spent jonny under your mums pillow for good measure! :heyhey:
No. He should learn to pay the consequences for his actions.
If he asked you to help, that's a different kettle of fish, but there are ways of making sure you don't cop for the bulk of the trouble

That might have sent her grey prematurely!
I would say it depends on whether your folks asked you to keep on eye on him or the house or not
If they did not then you are entirely at liberty not to tidy up after him
If they did though, you might want to save your own skin and clear up quick

 Blimey, that's truly evil!
Good on you for not letting him guilt-trip you into bailing him out!
When your brother arranged the party he went behind your parents' backs, and he must have known it would get messy, so leave him to sort it out.
We've all been there, and from what I remember it was a good learning experience.
He'll also enjoy telling the story to his mates in the pub in a few years time!
How old is your brother??

She would have been pleased (eventually) that he was practising safe sex;) and no doubt your Dad (when he finishes beating the crap out of him) will slap him on the back and say "that's my boy" :D

They always leave with that kind of agenda in mind and if:
A) I were living under the same roof and able to watch him 24/7
B) He was younger than 18 and not about to embark on adult life
I might consider shouldering some of the blame. But as it is he's big and ugly enough to look after his own arse as far as the flack for this one is concerned.
It's just bad manners to ask for help from someone you didn't invite to the party in the first place!:hihi:
hehe love it man! let the little bugger squirm, serves him right... if your gonna throw a party you make sure no bugger leaves the floor in the morning without helping a bit to tidy... its the unwritten rule that everyone should know!
just thought, I have the house to myself for the next 2 weeks... party anyone? lol
Swan_Vesta 16-06-2005, 12:49 Not in the slightest. With any luck he'll probably have to make such an effort to get the shipshape that your folks'll be delighted that he's kept it in good order. Hopefully 1001 can get the stains out :) doubt he'll do it again in a hurry.
Hee hee. Yes you are evil but it's for the best. He'll not do that again in a hurry. Bet his head is thumping abit today.
Is he feeling guilty yet? And when do your family return? You have to let me know what happens. Your poor mother - she'll be thinking about this dreaded scenario.

Eviller still, mix up some flour paste n splatter that on the quilt instead! :D
When I was a teen I was pretty sly and really good at covering my tracks, but my hapless little bro was not so sneaky...
One memorable evening when my parents had gone out, he and an equally slow-witted mate hatched a plan to entice a couple of girls back to my parents' house for some 'teenage kicks'.
Saidly little bro didn't have an emergancy back-up plan for if the parents came home early - which they did.
My mum found an empty bottle of vodka on the kitchen side, so headed into the spare room to discover my brother's friend, being 'pleasured' by one of the girls, with the assistance of my dad's favourite organic honey.
A trip upstairs found my brother in his bedroom with the other girl, so out of it he could barely string a sentence together. My mum grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and shook him, at which point he threw up all over her!

They get back tommorow night, so he has about 24 hours to deal with the mess...after that he'd better think about leaving the country.:hihi:

I disagree, evil would be making the mess, and blaming it on him. Leaving him to deal with it himself is the right way to deal with the situation.

louise170419 20-06-2005, 15:49 where and whens the party xafier !!!!!!!
Last month my youngest brother had a party while my Mum and Step Dad were on their hols.
The next day he was telling me that he had got up and went for a driving lesson and found on his return his mates had all joined in and cleaned the house from top to bottom.
With friends like this Im begining to wonder if he is gay!

Plus a few pairs of girls knickers, the odd bra and anything else to serve him right for not inviting you.
Well, they got back on the Friday and started busting his chops over the whole incident. And when I popped round to drop off my Dad's Fathers Day present on Sunday they were still well and truly at it...by the time he's 30 I think he may have managed to live the whole thing down.:hihi:
How did they find out, was the house still a mess or did the folks next door grass him up :hihi:

The folks next door are his godparents and think the sun shines out of his arse...my parents were tipped off by the fact that there was a mountain of beer cans by the wheelie-bin and a massive stain in the middle of the carpet that he couldn't shift!
Who else would be daft enough to have a party in a house that my partner refers to as "The Pastel Palace"?:D
Happy_Guy 21-06-2005, 20:09 what would he of done if that was you
