No, but I'm sure there are a few people here that could help you out if you explain the problem.

For a few beer tokens I'm sure some folks here would happily come visit you to try and sort it for you.

hi
i recently fitted a new graphics card to my computer
when restarting i received a message not enough power to run graphic card properly. the PSU was only a 350watt so i bought a 500watt one
fitted this but still received same message
checked graphics card and saw that there was a connector to fit a power source
so fitted a cable to it ,this worked until while i was having my tea i heard a noise so went upstair only to smell burning and the computer was no longer working
replaced the old psu but still no joy
can anyone help as this is my grandsons computer

Possibly blown the graphics card or motherboard. Put in your known to be working PSU and take out the graphics card; plug the monitor into your onboard slot and turn on the machine. Let us know.

Are you still receiving the message on screen stating that there is not enough power to the graphics card, now that you have replaced the PSU with the original 350W? Can you confirm you connected a power connector to the graphics card from the old 350W psu?

Out of interest, what CPU is in the machine and what and graphics card is it? And what 500W PSU did you buy. Also, what does the sticker on the side say for its amperage capabilities at 12V?

Under the following assumptions, then yes, its looking like its killed your motherboard.

* You havent forgot something like reconnecting the 4 pin 12V connector as well as the main connector.
* You retested whatever graphics solution you had before buying the new card.
* You've checked the fuse.
* You've removed the hard drive and optical drives, which may have been killed during the psu popping, and may be stopping the mobo starting up.

There is a computer shop on Langsett Road,on the left hand side going towards town past the Morrisons complex,he was excellent and was extremely reasonable and gave me the impression that he knew exactly what he was talking about, seems it is well known as there is always someone in...don't know if he opens Sundays though

Do you have a spare motherboard you could try. If not I could try and source one and pop round

Note the use of the word 'or'. For another user to know it was the motherboard it was either you under a different login or the person who had repaired it and had found this thread.
