I'll make sure im not working for this one
Sheffield is surly on the kickboxing map now lol
will you post the rest of the fight card once its arranged ?
I must admit i have been to about 15 diffrent shows around the country ( well midlands and north mainly) but nothing beats the Octagon for venue and atmosphere.
The showdown team have got it down to a tee now, pity i missed the Grosvenor show last week.
I've posted this on the Uni Muay Thai club site, hopefully we can get a crew down for it.
I liked Zidov...certainly not the best fighter on there by a long chalk but he was definitely a character.
This will be another feather in the cap for sheffield kickboxing and promoters
showdownevents.co.uk
Its a tremendous thing that these guys are bringing this calibre of fighter to compete in what is becoming one of the countries best kickboxing shows.
Sheffields most successful kickboxing clubs:
Paul Powers -SDF
Adrian Abdullas - Sheffield Academy of Martial Arts
Christian DiPaolos - Legends Gym
are fielding fighters on the show and Hopefully the promoters are trying to match up fighters from
Andy Marlows Gym
Marsdens all styles Kickboxing
There are two SDF lads challenging for European Titles which are currently held by two Portugese fighters.
and Marc Sargant from Derby fighting for a vacant world title against Zidov
These fights will be K1 (wako rules)
Tickets are now on sale - most of the VIP table tickets have gone and there are about 150 standered left.
Message from Adrian
'Thanks to all the clubs that have shown an intrest to fight on this and future shows unfortunatly we can only match 12 fights - but we will keep in contact with you and will hopefully be able to match you fighters on the next Ultimate fighter show at the Grosvenor Hotel during the summer or showdown 7 in Sept/October at the Octagon.'

Are there any Thai boxing fights on or is it K1 ?
With all the dom and gloom around a good night of world class k1 kickboxing is what Sheffield needs.
Will the fights be on internet TV again ?
And what are the records of the lads fighting for titles - i mean are they worthy challangers ??
