Just spotted this item on the BBC website and thought I would pass it on to all the forum knitters.

Quote from the article

"Health officials in Leeds have launched an unusual appeal - for fake breasts.

They are seeking people to knit breasts in all shapes, sizes and colours to be used for teaching expectant mothers.

Health visitors at present have to demonstrate breastfeeding using balloons or their own elbows, which they say are less than realistic."

Found the official pattern on Ravelry, but it says flesh tones only. I was looking forward to doing something a bit wappy. Like me.

I knitted a couple of boobs for the appeal through John Lewis last year. My boobs were certainly brightly coloured so anything goes.
