Where is good to live in sheffield?

Have heard ecclesall rd can be good?

What the city area like?

Try searching for some of the areas you already know about. There is loads of info in some of the old threads. West Street and Ecclesall Road would be a good start like you suggested.

If you're after city center living on the cheap then try the Riverside Exchange next to Bridge Street. It takes 10 Minutes to walk into the center but it's quiet, more space and cheaper than the flats up on West Street.
Parking is the main problem though in any of the city center developments, even if you flat has a dedicated space your family and friends have no-where to park unless they cough up serious cash!
