You should contact Rain Rescue in the first instance if that's where you got him (if you've not already done so). I expect they'll be able to advise with regards to rehoming.

would the landlord let you keep him if he was crated whilst you are out? I'm guessing the destructive behaviour is the issue with the landlord :(

I appreciate that, but most rescue animals are under contract such that if you can no longer care for them - they are to be returned to the rescue. What does your contract say?

i have to say my worrie is that he will not find a new owner in time as when we saw him he was due to be put to sleep within a week and the rescue centers are full of staffys that no one wants, this whole thing just makes me so sad and i feel i have failled but i carnt risk me and my 11month old daughter being evicted i wish people wouldnt judge a dog by its breed

I can absolutely guarantee this wasn't a rain rescue dog if there was a pts date then

we do provide webspace to a number of different rescues though, as well as numerous links to other rescues, so it could be that this was a rochdale dog, as those are usually advertised with pts dates

where did you pick him up from?

Just for clarification - RAIN RESCUE run the website where other rescues display their dogs. Each rescue or stray kennels have their own policies and are NOTHING to do with RAIN. The site just gives them a web presence and helps to rehome the dogs.

Rain Rescue has dogs for rehoming under the ROTHERHAM DOGS. I don't remember a white staffy going to the Woodseats area - and certainly not one that I don't know where it is now. I think from the sounds of it - this boy has already been dumped by someone in the lost/stray kennels at the old RSPCA kennels in Sheffield.

I hope you managed to find him a good home - you are right - staffies have it so rough and yes - they are being killed all over the country every day of the week.

Would you pm me a picture and a write up please so I can see which dog it is.

Sorry - missed that.
I know where nearly all my dogs are - and can't think of a white one that we don't know of.
Hopefully the owner will send me info and a pic so i can see which one it is.
How sad for him again - lets hope someone can help him

I need to close this thread now to comply with the re-homing rules, Darkdreamer please contact Rainrescue to discuss the particulars of this dog and to find out if the dog can actually be rehomed or if he needs to be returned to the rescue, as your adoption agreement should state.
