View Full Version : Mosborough - Whats it like ? AUGGIE 15-06-2005, 16:09 Anybody know what this place is like to live in and to go out at night? _johnnyb_ 15-06-2005, 19:55 Seems a decent enough place to live in with a few shops and plenty of countryside within minutes. Lots of "executive" style newer housing which seems to have driven the prices of other property in Mosborough upwards. Around six or seven pubs so lots of choice for drinking! youwhatref 16-06-2005, 14:21 In my opinion it is an up and coming place and house prices are quickly rising As johnnyb mentioned many executive type houses are being built which are attracting executives and families who cant stretch to Dore/Ecclesall budget but dont want to live too close to the Centre If you're moving there you should have no worries and as already mentioned there's quite a few pubs in the area nick2 17-06-2005, 07:30 The bus service to Mosborough is dire, so unless you have a car it can be a bit of a pain to get to. speeed 17-06-2005, 07:35 Mosborough is ace, it does depend on where about your planning on living but its a good enough place! The pubs are alright a bit overcrowded but other than that its a good night out! The busses aren't that much of a problem as halfway is within walking distance and has the tram stop and regular busses to the town centre. tbarlow 17-06-2005, 11:27 I love living in Mosborough, I've just moved into one of the 'new' built places. I've lived in Mosborough for years though and the pubs are great and have a good atmosphere about them. There is a regular bus service (21) into town, there are the odd one or two that don't turn up but that's the same with most routes I think. I would recommend the area. dishwasher 18-06-2005, 21:38 In the 1960s/1970s it was known as Modsborough. Don't know much about it now though. Sorry. Camp_Man 20-06-2005, 12:44 I like Mosborough, i used to live there and would love to go back sone day. Nice shopping area, scholld and the pubs are good too, me and my bf still visit the pubs around mosborough. The british oak is good but full of young kids, the queens is best and the staff are friendly (and hunky). I suggest you nip in and around the area and get a feel for the place. tom_a_west 20-06-2005, 17:56 I enjoy living in mosborough, although i wouldnt exactly say that i lived near the main part as i live in one of the "executive" areas of housing near the birley moor garden centre which is its own little suburb as it is surrounded by the countryside bar the main road which is a direct route into the city centre. the tram is only a 5 minuite walk away and birley lane tram stop (perfect for parking your car for free) is extremely close as well. all in all a great place to live. |
