I've just taken Bodie to the vets he's just six months, and I just need reasuring it had to be done, so does it, he is an indoor cat a beautiful maine coon, everybody says it calms them down but he couldn't be more calm, its ages since I had cat neutered so any advise have I done the right thing,
I'm worried sick now until he comes home

He will be absolutley fine... took my tom last year and he was a little dosy when i got him home but after a couple of hours he was back running around like the crazy mad hatter he is....

... Once your cat has been neutered this will stop him spraying.. which will smell really bad if he does it and given that he is a house cat this is the best thing you could do :)

Good lord, yes, it needed to be done! Having had experience of fostering non-neutered toms, I can assure you that the eye-watering stench of their spraying is to be avoided at all costs!

It's a nice, simple op and he'll be back to his usual self in a few days. Just give him a bit of extra love and attention and he'll soon forgive you for abandoning him at the vet.
