First off I would go back to the breeder and ask them what they think :)

hi to use a tom cat for stud a cat has to have his own stud area which has to have a area which the visiting queen can be housed where she can see and smell the tom it can take hours or days for her to be willing to be with him most queens make a sort of purring noise when this happens they may be allowed to meet you have to be very careful as the queen may attack and harm him a male that does not have any experience is a risk from a mated queen pahaps you could talk to a owner of stud cats who would give you some advise

Excellent advise, just dont think people realise, I know cats roam and get mated all the time, but look how many tom cats come home injured, you wouldn't want your cat to get hurt.
Also dont forget he will then probably start to spray aropund the house.
If you PM hodgepig, she used to breed persians many years ago and is still a huge fan, last count she had around 5, which are neutered pets now, but she will be able to advise.
