I may have asked this question, or something similar, before.

I have 3 large volume memory sticks, with loads of precedents on them.

I would like to copy them to the Hard Drive of my computer.

Could anyone give me an 'A' , 'B' 'C' of how I can do this please ?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 with lots of USB ports on it, but frankly I am completely lost.

Many thanks.

Are they normal files/folders? If so then it is easy (using windows as an operating system).

Just open the folder where you want to send the data. Now open 'my computer'. Click on the memory card and simply drag then drop the entire thing in to the destination folder.

I did it last week. It takes a while for windows to copy large amounts of data but it does work.

Thanks for that, it is much appreciated. I wacked them on to my computer at work, under My Documents, but my sodding Laptop runs Vista, and it is doing my head in.

P.S. they are mostly word files, so you can guess how many I, and five other Solicitors, have built up over the years.

Should I try the same procedure ?

All the best.

Yes the same procedure should work fine.
