Looking through another thread about how words change their meaning I was reminded of the word 'sad'. This used simply to mean unhappy but in more recent years it has taken on a wider defenition.

However, how would YOU define a 'sad man'? I'm not sure how I would as there seems to be no clear defenition.

Sad is when someone starts up a new thread which is almost identical to a previous thread, and is therefore using up bandwidth for no apparent reason

Blokes who have hobbies are described as 'sad' by women who don't have hobbies.
Women who clean obsessively & suffer anxiety after watching GMTV et al that their house is not upto the minute decorated, that judge others on the appearance of their homes & expect to be judged on theirs, are seen as 'normal'.

I don't understand it. :loopy:

A sad man.....one who spends all day in the forum.....
One who posts threads that have no relevence to anything that is debatable....

I am a sad person...cause I have come on here whilst being on holiday from work and found myself having nothing better to do than read a lot of the SAD threads posted in here.

In this case "sad" means "pathetic" and to be pitied

Sad - informal: pathetically inadequate or unfashionable.

Hope that clears it up. :)
