Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any rat rehoming centers in Sheffield. One of mine had to be put down recently due to cancer, and the other 3 are looking a bit lost and lonely in their cage.

I'm after a middle aged (at least 1 year old) female, possibly two (knowing me it will probably be two at least lol).
Ideally from somewhere who knows their temprament, of my previous two rescue ratties, one has become a 'cage rat' due to her hatred of people and me wishing to keep the rest of my finger flesh (she seemed fine if a little shy when we got her at 9 months old, and the lady assured me their were lovely, which one is, before the other turned into a savage monster).

Anywho if anyone knows of anywhere i would be much obliged.

I think peaches idea is a good one , you could also try the RSPCA or Thornbery they may also have some for rehoming.

Sorry to hear of your loss :(

Here's a link to the forum peaches suggested. There's always loads of rats needing rehoming, especially girlies, they don't seem so popular :(

Don't let distance put you off - frequently rat-trains can be arranged. :)

There's also a big rescue over Lincoln way which I took in a lone girlie from (to be with my other 3). I will PM you the contact details if you want?

Thanks for the replies, they've been really useful.

Hels if you could send me the details that would be great, i'd much prefer to rehome a middle-aged rat and give it a chance in life than get another baby
