does anyone know what happened yesterday on watermead there was police all over down herries rd and i wasnt allowed to walk down the field on watermead school.

i live top of shirecliffe hill and the helicopter was searching for someone all day .... must have been pretty bad.

Yes, i heard the helicopter, i will ask some of the mums at school see if i can find anything out.

a freind of mines daughter attends this school and they were told to avoid the feild etc but no explanation was given

I asked some of the parents at my daughters school ( which is close by) but nobody knew anything.

I live right next to the school entrance. There were police cars surrounding the entire school and grounds, counted over 20 cars just on Herries road alone. There was a car on the field but I couldnt get a close enough look to see what it was. I could however see plenty of bizzies in the gardens of houses on Herries road that backed on to Watermead property. I will ask the caretaker if I see him.

The last two days ive seen LOADS of coppers about. In the numbers. Like 8 at a time. Theres always this 'durham constabulary' car with them too. and lots of other cars with important looking people in....
