I had this idea at work today..

The shredder shreds amazingly well and makes tiny tiny pieces of paper - would it be suitable for a litter tray? I can't get over how much my bunnies poo and its costing a small fortune in wood based litter (and the amount of food they get through!!)

They do think that paper/cardboard is a food group anyhow (but wont eat it if it has wee on it) and the stuff we shred doesn't have much ink on at all. Would it be any worse than newspaper?

Thanks :)

I personally use it and havent had any problems at all. I only use it in the litter trays and use straw for bedding.

Excellent! I'm going to give it a go and mix it with the woodbased stuff just to increase the absorbability (if there is such a word)

As for bedding, my two use either the sofa, office chair or cat basket. :hihi:

Will let you know how I get on!

Have you tried Mega zorb it may be cheaper,
paper can have ink on it and thats not good for bunnies tummies!
