I have a Fuji A860 and an Acer laptop

Trying to install the camera, put the software cd n and it all loaded, however when I try to link the camera and laptop up (to get photos i've recently taken) I get this msg:

"The file on 'ptpusdll' on windows xp home edition service pack 2 is needed, type the file location'.

My laptop auto updated the other day and I saw windows service pack 3 installing, so have the SP2 but must have this file missing????? Where will it be and what do I do?? :(

I have googled and saw a dll.com site, do I get it from there?

Any help appreciated!!

Here it is, http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?ptpusd

Download it to desktop then copy or move it to c:\windows\system32.

I downloaded the file and saved it in the system32 location. When the error box comes back up and asks me where the file is, I go to that location but it's not finding the ptpusd.dll file???

You may need to register the file with windows. Click start then run and type
regsvr32 ptpusd.dll and click ok
Then try the software again. If that doesn't work have a look on the camera manufacturers website for updated drivers and software.
