can you stick with the mindless banal etc etc , some of it's getting beyond my simple mind .words a bit long .
keep it up though old chap cos yer right .
however I prefer terms like saddo , mythamaniac , troll etc etc , easier on my simple litte mind .
basically he's and idiot .

Sorry Alex, I should know better but showing him up cheers my day!
I know we are not supposed to abuse people on here but he keeps giving us ammunition and from that the desire to show up his limited life skills!

Anyhow, looking forward to Charlton, Donny, and Preston.
First two are winnable with Prestons home form worrying me slightly.
For the record I am a season ticket holder and try to attend as many away games as geography allows ie no trips to Southampton on a school night!!!!!

OK Midweek will be desperate to get rid of their 42 year hoodoo at the Lane, not won there since 1967, I feel that this record could stretch a while longer.
I am nervous about the match but thats because its against the midweek.
Do you think Blackwell will have the players in the right mind or do you think that Laws has the right derby ingredients

i wouldnt say were desperate to end it, just would be nice:thumbsup: bb would be lost if he didnt have the derby double to fall back on:D. laws seems to have it sussed, blackwell has only had 1 to judge him on so we'll see

He got the players fired up for the gme (which having won ensures his employment for another year!) but then they lose the next three.
I like Laws as a manager and feel he has the midweek punching above their weight, but wonder how he'd do with some money?????

We all know he was a gamble, maybe the big money signings and the way he was built up affected his confidance?
Or was the expectation too much for him?
I feel that UTD are playing better football without Beattie and that we should be in good shape for the derby game, away at PNE the week before will be a good test for the lads - their home record is pretty good.

Talking of this beam back then surely there is potential for trouble if blades fans decide they might go as well?
I wonder if there are security arangements in place to deal with any trouble, you would expect there to be wouldnt you.

Sorry fellas, I'm up for a bit of a row on here myself sometimes, but a few of you are taking the proverbial. It's pointless, endless, drivel that is straight out of the school playground. A moderator needs to sort it promptly and delete all the crap, to restore a bit of 'normality' back to this forum.

I have to agree with Michael.....
This is not banter of any sort at all.

Some of the stuff in this thread would not be out of place in a school yard.

I can't believe how much I have just had to delete, it's quite frankly ridiculous and spoiling it for people who want to come on here.

So this is a warning to keep the drivel to a minimum.

Yeah, the last time it happened the Owls charged us 10k for beaming it back.

United sold tickets for the Lane beamback and all monies raised from that were donated to the Save the Millers fund. Which I think is a very generous thing to do these days.

The threads that he shut down deserved everything they got.
Unmitigated garbage that insulted a normal person's intelligence.
Anyways, I don't know how much is being charged but it should be a reflection of how many are at Hillsborough AND I think that the Blades should keep the proceeds

I can't say as I had read most of them, apart from a selection of comments on one which I had contributed to at an earlier stage.

It was merely an observation, and more a comment about our wonderful economy.

It's a good time for you to come back and buy a house here, Chuffy!

So Wednesday pay for the screen etc, along with the stewarding, police, lighting, and then give the proceeds to the blunts. :loopy:

You're quite right crookesey.
My statement regarding keeping the proceeds (beamback fee) was meant to say that they shouldn't be giving it away to anyone else i.e. Rotherham.
I agree that anything over whatever fee is negotiated belongs to the Owls.

Any blunts who do sneak into Hillsborough to try and cause trouble, instead of watching their own team at their own ground, are frankly a bit sad.

We don't go around calling the shrine 'Beautiful North Sheffield Theatre of Dreams', or any other stupid term.
If Bramall Lane is beautiful, then so is Bella Emberg (other non beautiful celebrities are available). :D

Beautiful was already taken by the Blades and Theatre of dreams was already taken by Man Utd and so because you lot are a bit slow on the uptake it was named by Blades for you

Take your pick from Swillsborough, Hellsbore or The Sty

True... but you need to start winning some outside of Sheffield too (and we need to win some in Sheffield...) :) One thing with Laws, he leaves none of his players in any doubt what he demands from them, and while you might get the odd spanking at Reading and Wolves, it's a million miles better than that shower you had out in the derbies before he came.

The real danger team for the playoffs I think might be Swansea... if things go pear shaped in the run-in and KB goes, we could do a lot worse than seeing if Roberto Martinez fancies a move up north...

Good job we've got the cup tie next week, it's bad enough losing to Donny and Owls here, but it would've been the dingles here next week... we need a couple of 'bullies' like Morgs and Hendo for that I think, didn't have enough leaders today. And glad the Hull game isn't live on tv, that could be a bit of a car crash going on today's effort, and their draw at Chelsea...

not doing too bad that martinez. i think he's going to stay very loyal to swansea though, unless an established prem club comes for him. as far as i know swansea are in good shape financially(could be wrong, not looked it up) so swapping for utd would just be a sideward step for him

You're probably right... I mean more that i'd rather us be looking at a manager like that next, rather than a former England legend (and useless manager) like Robbo, or a safe but unspectacular pair of hands like KB.

In hindsight, it would've been better to keep KB on until the end of last season then look for a new man for this season - it's a lot easier coming in with a team struggling and no expectations like he did last year after Robbo, than it is when you're expected to be in the playoff mix... more of a rescue manager really (which he did well). It's a shame as he seems a likeable bloke who's just struggling with the pressure, and therefore playing safety first.

ah rite, sorry thought you was meaning him in particular. yes, i've never really understood going for former england/international legends, especially in the case of robson who was clearly a poor manager really. i did think it wouldnt take long for fans to go against kb. i know he had a good finish last season but i would of looked for a different manager at the end of last season but whats done is done, just got to try to back the team. so far, even though the football is terrible he is doing the job he was hired for, the playoffs. if he doesnt make them come the end of the season then it will make his position a bit less secure.
